please get rid of the grind parts, they are really not necessary! I am always wondering what the ... my toon is doing running around like a fool instead of turning in quests and going on.

Alright so I was running your profile for BC and it was working fine until all of a sudden I got the error message "Can not turn in quest A Message to Telaar (ID: 9792) because I don't have it in my quest log! (Or do I: False)
Bot Stopped! Reason: Could not create current in quest bot!"

I deleted the bot cache and the WoW cache. Still keep on getting the same error message when I start it up. Will try a fresh install of honorbuddy.

Edit: I reinstalled Kick's Profiles AND Honorbuddy and I'm still getting the same message " Can not turn in quest A Message to Telaar (ID: 9792) because I don't have it in my quest log! (Or do I:False)"

I run 70 - 90 using Kicks, and have done on a number of toons, and it's never grinded once.

On the 1-70 I know it tries to be quite completest so can't imagine many of the grinding directives being hit, and that's actually the reason I use Cava for the pre 70 levels.

Are you manually forcing the bot to move ahead to areas or something?

Remember the profile is designed around the lowest common denominator, so although your Pally or DK may not need to grind that extra level before tackling the next area, a squishie Mage might well need to...

is it normal that there is so many bugs in this profile?
im right now level 69 leveling in borean thundra. the bot by now got stuck 4 times. one time in a tent, flying constantly forward. now 2 times the same place, trying to kill a mob through a wall by landing on this tent kinda thing. and at last it just got stuck by a stone or something like that.

EDIT: dont ask for a log... -.- the log says nothing about the character got stuck in these places

Hi Raekwon,

I've had a brief look over the profile, but without a log it's difficult to see what's going on.

As soon as we enter Nagrand (eg when hitting level 66), we hit the following section of the profile (Line 4541):

Code:
<!-- Grind to Neutral -->
<If Condition="Me.GetReputationLevelWith(941) < Styx.WoWUnitReaction.Neutral" >
<!-- add the 9407 questline here -->

<CustomBehavior File="Message" Text="Getting to Neutral with Mag'har - do not interfere!" LogColor="Orange" />
.................
.................

As you can see, we're checking against the reputation with faction 941 (The Mag'har - Faction - World of Warcraft), and if we're not already Neutral should go and do a bunch of quests to make sure we are.

As per the first page of this thread, specifically the section about reporting problems (http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/submitted-profiles/131188-kicks-1-90-mega-profile-pack.html#post1259963), please provide a log so people can see what's going on and try and help.

Unfortunately, without the log I can only start to guess what's happened which isn't very helpful to anyone, and there are a number of things that have the potential to cause this, both profile related, and user related

I've recently done the 70-80 profiles on a number of toons, the most recently was almost entirely AFK. I don't bot unmonitored, but think I had to intervene and get unstuck perhaps once the whole 10 levels. Perhaps you're Alliance and things aren't as smooth (I was Horde), or perhaps your an overly large or small toon; if only there was a snappy and quick method for your to make readers of your post aware of things like your race or faction, and other important factors relating to your problem... damn we really need to have something like that...a file, that logged these things.

Since you refuse to supply a log file (as apparently you know better than the devs as to what the log file will tell), I'll have to refer you to the first post of this thread regarding reporting problems.

And incase you think I'm just being arsey about the logfile please look back over posts in this thread and its archives, specifically a discussion between myself and chinajade about a certain CustomBehavior which needs altered to ensure the proper navigation system is used. With a log we could see if this was the case and potentially fix it, not to mention ruling out the common user related issues... /sigh

Okay, good luck, and hope you've a good grinding profile.

Remember, next time you get any problems, follow the procedure on the first page, and include a log file.

Also, be sure to follow the correct instructions when clearing out cache as well.

Thanks it worked perfectly fine (I only needed like 20% to ding 68). I then switched to the LK profile and it has been working flawlessly. I know how to attach log and all that fun stuff but there was really no point since I switched to the grinding profile. Just myself and a few others were having kind of the same problems around the same area. Next time I have a problem I will be sure to provide a log though :p .

Hi, Emmark, and many thanks for the report and log.

In v2766, I've made a correction to the profile that should repair the defect. There are a few clams on the beach that are not able to be interact with. The way the profile was written, any time one of these was encountered, the profile would get irrecoverably 'hung'. This should no longer be a problem.

(Can you say "bad clam"? Uh huh... we _thought_ you could!)

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Luvs2spludge, and thanks for the problem report and log.

Alas, you're still suffering from this problem:
[18:47:40.620 N] Error trying to save the settings file: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

and you've also got this going on (heavily) in your log:
[18:39:37.371 D] System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Singular.CombatLogEventArgs.ArgToGuid(Object o) in c:\Users\Blas\Desktop\Honorbuddy 2.5.8077.692\Routines\Singular\Utilities\CombatLog.cs:line 84
at Singular.CombatLogEventArgs.get_DestGuid() in c:\Users\Blas\Desktop\Honorbuddy 2.5.8077.692\Routines\Singular\Utilities\CombatLog.cs:line 42
at Singular.Utilities.EventHandlers.HandleCombatLog(Object sender, LuaEventArgs args) in c:\Users\Blas\Desktop\Honorbuddy 2.5.8077.692\Routines\Singular\Utilities\EventHandlers.cs:line 198

and this:
---> System.Exception: Invalid access to memory location, at addr: E400F205, Size: 88
at GreyMagic.ExternalProcessMemory.ReadByteBuffer(IntPtr addr, Void* buffer, Int32 count)

at Styx.CommonBot.Inventory.LootRoll.(Int32 )
at Styx.CommonBot.Inventory.LootRoll.(Object , LuaEventArgs )
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

This means there is still something *seriously* wrong with your Honorbuddy installation. There is simply no way to know if a problem is profile-related, if Honorbuddy is not functioning correctly. We *must* get the Honorbuddy installation working correctly, before we can consider problem reports against the profile.

For this, you will need to work with the Support team in the Support forum.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Dividedbyzero,

Profiles are not coded for disconnects, and perma-stuck situations.

Also, these situations are actually worse than you alluded, if you become disconnected, you actually have to restart Honorbuddy. Please find more information about this in our Things To Know.

cheers,

Hi, Easy_tiger,

I find it very hard to believe that you were told to post in the profile thread. DrinkPotions is a plugin, and has absolutely nothing to do with the profile.

For fun, I looked at the code to DrinkPotions. and it is very simple. To use a potion, the potion must have the words "Healing Potion" or "Restore Mana" as part of its name. Since you were not specific about the flask you were trying to use, I've no clue if the flask fits the required criteria.

If you would like to include flasks into this plugin, I would submit the list of flasks you would also like considered to the Feedback for Honorbuddy Improvements thread.

cheers,
chinajade

Hi, Proceed,

This has nothing to do with the profile, and you should post this complaint in the Mr. ItemRemover thread.

cheers,
