Not attacking (singular?)

Tabbed over to my bot to find him dead/waiting to res with fully red gear, then noticed he wasnt attacking anything, would target the right mob but would just walk up to it and do nothing. Those logs are gone because I have since done a clean install/cleared cache, but here is one from the fresh install doing the same exact thing. I'm stumped :O


here is what the log should cover after fresh install...

open wow - log in
open HB - log in
switch to quest bot - load profile
hit start
bot targets mob
walks up to it - DOES NOTHING
if i clear the target with esc - it retargets (did this several times)
before I died someone else killed the mob
stares at dead mob

in this particular case the mob isnt even the quest mob, its near the quest item which happens to be a cacoon next to it
SO i clear target again and it retargets the dead mob near the quest item, not the quest item...

hit stop, clear target, hit start
this time it targets the quest item/ hostile cacoon, doesnt even walk to it anymore, or face it even, just targets it, even when cleared with esc

 

I've gotten it to attack by starting it in combat, kills that mob but then just targets the dead corpse

after that do a CLEAN Install into a new folder, do not re-install to an previous installation and do not copy over any plugins, combat routines or quest behaviors into this new installation.

do you keep deleting the mesh folder?
on this new clean install, make a folder called Meshes, in your honorbuddy folder then in your honorbuddy settings, change the mesh location TO it.

 

Upon the last clean install I deleted the following according to the articles found under "Things to try before you post for help"

I also read somewhere to delete the meshes found in C:\Users\AARON\AppData\Local\HonorbuddyMeshes
No plugins, such as the one found in kicks SVN, or anything else were added (or turned on for that matter), I simply loaded HB, changed it to questing, loaded the profile, hit start
issues persisted...

Will try another class/level/zone to see if anything changes

The only way I can get it to attack is hitting start while in combat with a mob, after that it will continue on by walking up to the next mob and stand on it while being attacked until I die.

It was questing fine up until that quest where I found it dead with gear completely destroyed..

I have since completed those quests by hand and...
After reading your post I redid the same steps as before as well as created the new meshes folder and redirected HB to it through the Settings and Tools Change button.
Issue persisted.
Included is the (only) log from the latest clean install where I walk to a mob, it stands there, someone else in the area ends up killing it before I die... It targets the dead mob...
I stop the bot, and start it while in combat so that is also in the log

 

Diff toon/zone/level/profile works fine lol

leads me to believe its zone or profile specific

 

Hi, Aaron913,

VERY strange. Is there any chance your 'broken' toon is stuck in combat? (Test it by seeing if you can mount).

I can mount, when i start it in combat (to get it to actually attack) it'll kill the mob, it loots , then mounts itself afterwards and moves to the next mob, stands next to it mounted until dazed

EDIT: If i start it while in combat mounted, it will go into catform and fight fine, mounts back up continues, walks to next mob, stands mounted o.o

 

Grind bot works, same install, grind profile

will use this untill I can quest in a different zone and try quest bot again there later I suppose.

 

any ideas?

 

Grinded to 49, resumed quest bot and it started winterspring quests (kicks 1-90) and its working fine... something with tanaris or the profile

 

chances are it was the profile, glad its working fine for you now.

The user is suffering from problems with the RocketRescue behavior. The problem has been repaired, and should be available in the next Honorbuddy release.

Please read this response to see the work-around until the next Release is made available.
