just tried your new hunter cc seemed to work first.. then it just stood still.. let the pet do the killing posting log
Does the same with me.. he starts out great, but within minutes he decides he's just going to let the pet do all the fighting.. As soon as you manually touch Autoshot he continues with his shot rotation.. But he'll do exactly the same with the next mob. EDIT: Just want to add that this isn't a showstopper... just reduces the dps by quite a bit ie I'm still using it !
This is likely to be something in HB as nothing much has changed in the hunter since the last few releases.
hmm, wouldn't be surprised if it is something with HB. Kinda sucks tough, as I went from 1 to 60 in no time, and now my leveling is so slow due to this bug. I tried to dive into your code, but it's in so many different files that I haven't found the actual start Could you tell me in which file I can find the 'pull' sequence ? I want to try and add a sting to the place where he places the hunter mark. Not a clean solution, but I will settle for a quick and dirty fix until the HB crew can fix it on their end. (feel free to drop me a pm if you don't want to put dirty hax in this thread )
I'm uploading a new build in the next 30 minutes, I've added some additional checks that may (unlikely) have an effect on this. But, the checks I've added are simply a double redundent check - meaning they already exist.
Update 3 Oct 2010 Possible resolution to the Warrior vs Caster ranged issue. Fix to pull mobs underground, if you are also underground (ie in a cave) Force facing the target. Since HB's .IsSafelyFacing is not reliable it will now force the face target procedure.
Disabling the "Use Pet Attack Delay" entirely stopped the bug of the bot not attacking a mob after the pet started fighting it for me.
Impossible. The feature "Use Pet Attack Delay" simply adds a 1.7 second delay between sending your pet to attack and attacking the target yourself.
Well, it went from almost never starting to attack to always attacking, so I don't know, that's literally the only thing I changed. Don't know what to tell you :\ On that note though, everything else has worked great so far. EDIT: Yup, turned it back just to double check it, didn't have to wait very long. The very first mob it just watched it die from pet damage. As did it do that for the 2nd. Here's a log for ya.
Well, so long as it's working I guess that's fine lol (I added a log file to my previous post if you didn't see it, looks like you posted while I was adding it). Certainly might be helpful for others having this issue to give it a shot anyways.
sorry for the double post, but I figure I should bump this: Switching off "Use pet attack delay" does actually fix the problem of not starting autoshot !! Thanks zeress for pointing it out. @fps: Perhaps this 1.5second wait is enough for the engine to think it is out of combat, while the pet is in combat ?
No. The hunter has a target or it does not have a target. The delay makes no difference, I did some testing with this last night and it still faults, sometimes it does not fault and sometimes it faults frequently. There are problems with HB, they are causing numerous issue with CCs. Nothing I can do about it.
When playing as MM, the bot do not make sure that it is a serpent sting going on the target before he do anything else. He should.
I have the same issue as dottzor, he does not use serpent sting in 90% of the pulling situations... Additionally, the bot sometimes pulls it with a normal shot and then does not target the mob any longer, just standing there getting killed. If a log is needed for this, I'll reproduce that error.
Ironically enough, this has made it work for me also. Every time that box is checked to use pet delay, it just stands there. Don't know if its a check issue with HB or what. Deleted cache, same thing. As soon as I remove the checkmark, it attacks fine, though I usually draw the agro right off the bat, heh.
