Not Crazy - There is flagging going on. ZERO currency drops in 3 hours.

GGG has done something to flag people using this bot. Don't know how or what, but I bought it today, used it on a spare acc I had from closed beta that I don't use and started grinding out a softcore char.

Currently level 38. I believe in the first hour or so I was getting typical currency drops (Scrolls, transmutes, w/e).

In the past 3 hours while leveling in Act 2/Act 3 I have recieved ZERO. This includes TP scrolls, ID scrolls, and even simple basic currency. I have yet to find a single orb of transmutation since then.

To test and make sure it wasn't just not being picked up by the bot, I just grinded out almost a full level myself in a different zone myself, and I haven't recieved a single ID or TP scroll (And also no currency).

Can anyone else confirm they are having this issue? Some sort of loot diminishing returns possibly? Seems to fast to be that, more likely a flag of some kind.

This goes beyond simple bad luck.

 

Very strange. There has/is a bug of no loot being picked up, but mostly people starting out. Since you have the bot working and looting for the first hour.
There was a PoE client update yesterday.. that might have something to do with it.

Are you using the beta or stable release of EB?

The first troubleshooting, as you likely know since you are a 'buddy', to be performed is download a new EB instance (even if same version) and install/run it from a different directory than the previous (I use the version number of the EB build as the directory name, then append _tmp, _dev _OMGBEES)

Curious are you botting a low lvl area relative to your bot account?

I'm using whichever version is available for download through exilebuddy.com, didn't bother to see which. However, this isn't an exilebuddy issue. I closed ExileBuddy and for the past 1.5 hours I've been leveling the character myself while progressing through the rest of act 3. I did every quest in act 3 from the start and not a single portal or id scroll or currency item dropped off mobs. I got one portal scroll from a chest I opened. I thought it might be because i outleveled act 3 normal quite a bit (I was 37-38) so I was rushing through to get to cruel and try in the higher level zones. Still no luck, no currency/scroll drops at all from the start of act 1 cruel to the prison. This is all manually played. I still outlevel those zones some, but not nearly enough for there to be zero drop rates on this stuff.

 

Nope found an exalted in a map I outlevel by 13 levels. Sorry bro, it's just you.. Not the bot.

 

You aren't to knowledgeable about the way the loot penalty works

For the purposes of this penalty, your level is never considered to be higher than 68. Therefore a level 75 character receives no penalty in a level 66 area.

No map you can do will recieve a loot penalty. Nor Will merciless Docks or any zone the same level as Merciless docks or above.

And I'm not sure why you are bringing this up in the first place. I am currently playing in a level 38 zone as a level 40 and STILL have not had any type of currency drop, including scrolls, on my character. So at this point my character is no longer being penalized by POE's loot system, as you recieve 100% drop rate on currency so long as you are not more than 2 levels above a zone.

At this point, now that I have closed the difference in zone levels and character levels; I have to assume that something else has occurred to block currency drops.

 

Had the same prob after mule some stuff between two accs.

 

What did you do to resolve the issue, or were you even able to?

I transferred some gear from my main acc to this account to make leveling easier.

Yeah, I have the same issue, it was foxhs who reminds me that this issue does happen just after I trade something between accounts.

 

I kinda have to agree with this, picked up 6 scrolls of wisdoms and 4 portals scrolls the rest of currency came from rare sells ie jews and chromes and nothing else in 69 runs...
Have been notticing this for about 3-4 days, so before the bot updated and such. I have been using the release version.

 

Nah, this must be some kind of flag - iam having same issue, currency just stopped dropping, nothing has changed on hero, not gear, not level - same zone. Items drops fine tho.

 

What don't you understand my reasoning for bringing it up? The purpose wasn't meant to point out a penalty. The purpose was to show this dude that if they're able to detect the bot they're not just decreasing our chances to find loot. That is completely absurd, they would ban us. Lol.. Like.. Im mind blown, you wrote out a freaking story because you think I don't know what you're telling me already.

 

Detecting a bot through detection is one thing. Detecting a botter through flagging their acc for "weird" things is something else entirely. Its easy to know that bans for software detection are good. Its not so easy to determine if a ban is justified through a flag (Grinding a zone to much, strange behavior, ect). So instead, they penalize the acc by reducing currency drop rates temporarily until they can investigate manually.

Its pretty simple, and pretty basic. Now I'm finished arguing with you.

I meantioned in my previous replies that I initially thought that might be the issue, so I manually quested my way into cruel difficulty. As of today I am still seeing 100% zero scroll/currency drops in a level 39 zone on a level 41 character. The reduced drop rates only apply to people who out leveled a zone by more than 2 levels (And even then it doesn't eliminate them completely). As a result I'm positive it is no longer an issue of zone out leveling, and something else entirely. Many people in this thread have stated they've experienced lowered or zero drop rates on similiar items after trading with another account; perhaps thats the flag.

 

I frequently deal with trading large amounts of currency and have been running the bot for 12+ hours the last couple of days farming the same area in the same difficulty. Gone from low 60's to high 70's and still no ban, nor reduced drop rates. I'd say only reduced drop rate I've seen is I'm not getting at least 1-2 exalted a day per farming. Everything else is still dropping, from wisdom to chaos, rares and uniques.

 

I have noticed this also after the last week.


For the first couple of runs he finds orbs, scrolls and rares and then nothing for hours, not even a scroll [A3 cruel, slums, level 50 ish]


Maybe there is some kind of diminishing returns based on number of instances created in a time frame for example if you do more that 4 runs in 30 mins you get no loot etc?


Have any of the devs come accross this problem to rule out it being a huge RNG coincidence?


If it is the case that runs per time period dictates loot drops we will need a feature on the bot to wait between runs etc. Judging by some of the responses above it seems to no longer be a problem in merciless?

 

Just out of curiosity are these new accounts or established accounts? If established, whats your highest level character on that account? How long has it been open, etc.

 

My account is from closed beta, its a spare account I had that I never used (It was for my friends to use to try the game, but I never got around to giving them access). Right now it has a level 40ish hardcore char and now a level 40ish softcore char. I never experienced problems with the hardcore char (Which I leveled by hand).

 

Same here no currency whatsoever. No tp's no id's
