Items missing? Password changed? Characters transferred to realms you haven't even heard of? Being asked for an authentication code even though you don't have an Authenticator? If any of these questions match the ones you're asking yourself right now, your account might be compromised. Now, don't panic. Blizzard Entertainment's Customer Service teams are here to help you. There is no need to create a trial account to be able to submit an in-game petition, nor are you required to have a friend submit one on your behalf. To restore access to your account as quickly as possible, please visit our Account Recovery page and be prepared to verify your account information. With the introduction of our new Account Recovery Process, you should no longer be required to try calling or e-mailing our Billing & Account Services department to remove an authenticator that may have been placed on your account without your authorization. All you will need to do is fill out our new Account Recovery Form: (https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html). How does it work? Consider this your ?One-Stop Shop? for reporting a compromised account. We'll ask you a series of questions that only you should know the answers to. After we are confident that you are who you say you are, our automated recovery process will take over and attempt to restore your access to the Battle.net account as soon as possible. This aspect of the account recovery process is similar to the password retrieval system, as it will send a password reset email to your account?s registered email address. In addition to the password reset email, a Battle.net service ticket (similar to a petition) will also be automatically opened on your behalf to have an investigation initiated. While you will be unable to view this ticket when logged into the game, you should, however, receive a message your e-mail address containing your ticket number and other information. Rest assured, a dedicated support representative will review your ticket and work to assist you in every way possible. What do I do after I fill out the Webform? Check your e-mail account for two e-mail messages: one to reset your password and one containing your service ticket information. Consider adding a Battle.net Authenticator to protect the account: (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/26552). Take a deep breath... Our customer service team will do the rest.
I saw this when they announced it a couple weeks ago but I havent needed to test it yet. I know it works for stuff like scammed items and when they lock your account for security reasons, but I cannot tell if the automated system will work for appealing bans/ if you get account closed. I'm going to guess for that situation we still need to give them a call.
Worked for me, got my account back after 5 months, all I had to do was fill that out, didnt give any explanation and few hours later I got emails confirming accounts/chars moved to registered b.net name etc.
was this done on an account that had been banned AKA permanently closed for violations? or just an account that you had hacked or lost the info to at some point.
It was an account that I lost access to. I do have my three banned accounts under the .net account but I've emailed them numerous times to the point they said further attempts will be ignored. I'm not sure how using this form will have them unban your account, after all the form just asks for the original name, address, account name, destination .net account and signature + copy of PHOTO ID.
If you don't mind and if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you try the new automated system on one of your banned accounts and share the results? im just curious to see how the system handles an account that has been banned and not just temporarily locked.
Well what is there to recover? The banned accounts are under my .net, so they are "recovered" just they say "banned" for subscription status under the .net game management. If you can convince me how I'm supposed to convince them that I'm recovering something then sure, my first account was banned in vanilla wow from selling it, then the seller did chargeback after he sold it again himself.. second and third was banned from openbot banwave in BC (too bad cause I had spent my gold buying arena teams to wintrade myself to 2700 haha)
ok so i tryed on my banned account and this is the email they sent me Greetings, Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with your account, **********. I apologize for any delay in addressing your issue, and would like to thank you for your patience. I understand how important your account and characters mean to you, and have taken this into consideration during my thorough investigation into this specific account action. Regrettably, I must inform you that I have found the actions taken on this account to have been applied accurately with regard to our policies. The account was found to have used unauthorized third-party automation software. The use of this kind of software can severely damage the World of Warcraft Economy, or cause stability issues with the servers. They also provide character benefits that are not achievable in World of Warcraft through normal means. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, character automation (also known as "botting"), increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. These typs of programs offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game. We consider the use of this software a very serious violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use, and will result in the immediate closure of an account. We will be unable to disclose any information regarding our investigation methods or findings, and are unable to make exceptions to this policy. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Unfortunately, as a result of my findings, the action taken upon this account shall not be reversed under any circumstances. Please note that this action was taken to maintain integrity within World of Warcraft, and is not taken lightly. This action has been taken in accordance to our Terms of Use (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html) and our game policies (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20309), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to participation. When an account violates these policies, the situation is reviewed and appropriate action is taken. For your convenience, I have included the relevant section from the Terms of Use. Section 2: Additional License Limitations. "A - You agree that you will not, under any circumstances: use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience. Thank you once again for your time and understanding of our position in this matter. they do get back to you faster then tryin to Email about your accout getting closed.
Alright thanks for trying Deuce, i just wanted to see if for some reason it would assume the ban was because of unautherized access. I do not know if this system is also for EU accounts but it wouldnt hurt to try. Dameize I think you can still get your account restored if you know significant information related to it, such as the personal information fields, or what kind of characters are on what realms (eg a 60 orc warlock on Doomhammer, in mostly blues and some MC epics).
