As I havent found any ban section, i need to ask. How often can u get banned in swtor while botting daily ? Lets say for 5-6 hours (not straight) while babysiting the whole thing ?

      Hi Bochen,

Thankfully, I think the lack of a ban section here indicates just how infrequent BW bans occur. If you have a routine that's well away from player traffic, it can help.

In over a year of botting with multiple accounts, I've only received one ban, and that was likely due to running into a wall or something, being reported, and having a GM catch it. Of course, the longer you let it run (providing it doesn't time out or crash, which can happen for any number of reasons, including nav server overload), the greater the chance that something will occur which gets you reported, so pick your spots well. Also, in my opinion, it's safest to create your own grind profiles and avoid the public ones.

      Good luck,
      -D

Thanks for such a quick response ;) I have only 1 concern now, what is the state of bot? How well it works? Ofcourse I can assume that I will know best when Ill take it for a ride but a word or two from a guy who uses it for a period of time would help :) Do daily quests works well ? Also as a lets say " newbie" in Swtor, what actually do I grind? ;D Are you able to estimate how much credits per hour its possible to get with the bot ?

Sorry for silly questions, but since Blizzards bans every single account of mine for no reason I need something else to do with my free time :D

And this is why my Honor Buddy account has been sitting idle. :)

There is definitely a learning curve involved in getting BW to run (mostly) well. Once you have max level characters, good grind and daily profiles should net you in excess of 50k per hour (barring game updates and the occasional nav server restart), and by some estimates up to double that number is possible.

You'll find this information in numerous other threads, but here's a short list to help get you started:

      • Most of what you need to know can probably be found in Walter's BuddyWing for Dummies, so start there.
      • Combat routines let your bot know how to fight. Walter's and Joe's routines are best for leveling, while Pure was created with max level characters in mind. Instructions for installing and using each can be found in their individual threads.
      • Profiles (questing and grinding) are used to direct your bot character, whether grinding in one particular area or attempting to complete a series of quests. More about those below.
      • Questing profiles require a great deal of babysitting (mainly because of wonky SWToR mechanics), so user time is required to help with occasional turn-ins and elevators whenever you run them. Starter planets and home planets (through level 15), and Nar Shaddaa, are sometimes problematic for all profile types.
      • Grinding profiles can get the job done while leveling, but taking the time to make your own (it's very easy once you learn how) as opposed to using public profiles is both safer and more efficient (no sharing).
      • My personal preference when leveling is to both grind and manually quest, but you should decide which method works best for you.

There's lots more, but it's probably best to try and figure it out as you go, or search for similar issues here in the forum as they crop up.

      Good luck!

Virtually none. There was a large ban wave on Ilum when they were fully staffed at the beginning. There were small ban waves when farmers would report on each other and entire grind areas would be carefully observed. I think as long as everyone plays nice, we're all fine.

I m not sure how many bots you guys run but I ve lost lots of accounts. I d say I m around 40-50 bans in a year. I have to say it hasn t been BWs fault though.

Once you've been banned, your IP and and other info gets flagged, and will have a higher chance of getting another ban.

I would recommend continuing the discussion in private. Whatever we can read, Bioware can read.

      Cheers,

Lots of lay offs, we can only hope they're recovered (means game is healthy) and hired back some. But yeah, more in private.

I dont want to start a new thread with a simple question so ill just ask on this one. Is there any secure ways to sell rift credits? I mean face to face trade is propably dangerous so Is there any other option like guild bank trade or anything else?
