[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Thanks for the post. I've made some changes for the single target Arcane Blast/Missiles issue. Should prevent that happening again. Will push to SVN later.

As for AoE - this is the rotation defined by SimCraft

Portal is basically using the same code - but replaces living bomb with whatever mage bomb is talented, barrage is used at whatever the setting value is, and arcane explosion will only be used if we're actually in range of mobs - failing that it drops back to the single target rotation.

A normal AoE rotation under 'perfect' conditions does not use Arcane Missiles.

By any chance, do you happen to have 2 sets of 'Chronomancer Gloves' ? Maybe a pair equipped and a pair in your bags for instance?

*Edit 2* Nvm figured out why engineer gloves could break. Will push fix for that too.

 

Used the free version, and it was impossible to use all important cooldowns myself. I couldn't even get a frozen orb out, and with things like Iceblock disabled - I'd iceblock to wait for heals and it would cancel it for me. Immediately. V3. Also, could not disable frozen orb. All I want is the DPS rotation. Basically, so that it only applies Living Bomb, ice lances on FoF procs, Frostfire bolt when brain freeze is up, and interrupt important casts - mainly heals, or crowd control. (Tried various plugins, couldn't get it to work). Is there a basic barebones DPS & interrupt only portal version?

 

Hey Millz thanks for the coming fix, but there is something wrong with arcane full stop. I couldn't be sure until Raid testing tonight. Arcane is suffering from slow casting, it's causing about a 50k dps loss on single target and more on multi target but i can say how much until I have a detailed look at the logs later tonight.
Frost and fire are both fine and casting with zero lag between spells it's only arcane, your frost and fire spec is prob the fastest I have ever used.
Also I am wondering if you are planning on adding you aura checking in that like you have on priest and warlock routine.

I agree with what you are say with your AoE settings if it is 4+ targets, The issue is that 2-3 targets are lumped into the same setting and then the AoE rotation becomes incorrect as it should not be using flame strike, but should be using arcane missiles on current target.
So with my testing on dark shaman's heroic tonight I had to use single target rotation because of the loss of nuke on primary target.
Could you also add a hot key option to have only dotting instead of dotting + AoE?

 

Hey - There isn't. Best you can do it edit the profile yourself to remove the items you don't want to cast.

It's pushed. If it's casting slowly, then disable the anti lag settings (#1 first, and if its still having issues, #2).

Aura checking? Not sure what you're on about, but it'll be in there. They're using the same core code.

 

I have all lag settings disabled, I tested with them on/off spent a good 5 hours doing testing with it today and it makes no difference but trust me it really is slow for some reason.
I just downloaded the update but it is still casting arcane missiles, arcane blast, arcane missiles was a setting to change on the client or anything?

Edit* got the update again and it's working now. Also got a honorbudy update and it has helped the speed on arcane a lot as well

Hey millz how is Fire pvp?

 

I've added a setting to do the frostjaw / alter time / deep freeze combo which is pretty damn funny. Need to wait for all cooldowns to be ready, but when it pulls that combo it's pretty much a guaranteed kill every time, loads of fun.

 

i find the burst very low on my frost mage the overall dps is good am i doing somthing wrong btw love this mate very good thats pve btw

Is this something that needs to be manually set up? Is there a way to trigger it, so we don't do it into an ice block or spell reflect. Maybe make it a burst option? BTW, how come you only have an option to burst but no settings for the burst itself for example trinket or engineers gloves I know you have use engineers gloves on cooldown blah blah blah what if I just want to save it for that specific burst?

 

look at it this way, what if.. you went to ur work everyday for a month, and when the month ends.. ur boss would go "well, you came in at 5 am every day, and went at 5 pm.. but you get no money for ur work.. not because u havn't earnt it, but because i don't want to pay you.."

Millz's "job" is to let us, be able to push more dps than the tryharders that play 24/7 can do, to do that.. he needs beer/redbull/pizza (or other nice stuff)

i ussualy start out at 160k dps burst, then it goes down to about 120k stable with 512 ilvl :S
personally i havn't gemmed my gear, reforged, or enchanted it.
Ussually, all that actually matters to ur dps
same as ur gear, got the 2 set bonus? 4 set? none at all?

Having an issue when i have synapse springs activated in settings, the rotation completely stops casting right away when synapse starts, i notice its not casting frostbolt when that happens because when i cast frostbolt manually the other spells do go off such as frostfire bolt and ice lance, when i uncheck the box for synapse springs the rotation works like usual no problems but i have to manually click on synapse to get it going, not a huge deal but its a pretty nice feature to have it auto cast and not have to worry about it, here is a log.
