How's this routine working for Arcane? I think I got enough gear by now to switch from frost to arcane, but from what I can see Portal works great with frost, wondering if it's the same with Arcane.
This ^ But saying that, I'm not a fan of arcane spec in PvP - I think frost is a much better PvP spec. Fire is good for the quick nuke approach, but all of the stars need to perfectly align for it to work.
Arcane is probably one of the worse pvp specs in the game. So dont try it unless you want to get spanked
I kind of agree with this. I mean [Slow] is a nice ability, but it's not enough to make Arcane a good PvP spec.
Arcane, while terrible relies on perfect usage of Temporal Shield, Incanter's Ward and quickly bursting people down. Best way to play it is to just setup control and once your teammate can burst, you pop everything and win. Would be hard to make the bot a winner at kiting and using abilities such as Temporal Shield only on incoming burst etc. Also, Millz, is there a way to add a no to Ice Block if Hand of Protection is up @ you're fighting against a melee cleave team?
Hello Millz, today I tested the CC a lot agains one of my friends (hunter). He was my test dummy. I also tested it against the training dummy. A couple of questions: 1. Burst & Cooldowns I still don't understand the Burst and cooldown option thing. Cooldown is clear. When enabled the CC will use cooldowns. But I would consider the following spells burst spells: Mirror Images Frozen Orb Icy Veins Alter Time Presence of Mind. So the burst option would make sense for me, if those spells would have a Burst option. So that they are used on cooldown when the Burst option is enabled. With cooldowns enabled and burst disabled the CC was using Frozen Orb Alter Time Icy Veins Mirror Images With cooldowns disabled and burst enabled it only used: Frozen Orb. (It's also a 1min CD? Are only longer CDs affected by the cooldowns option? The only thing that is triggered by the burst option is Icy Veins. Even if that spell is disabled in the CC. As soon as I enabled burst, it's used. It would be really great, if those spells would have a burst option. So that they are only used when I enable the burst mode. So: Cooldown = Will use all spells based on their configuration in the CC (Will not use spells who are set to BURST in the CC config) Burst = Will trigger all spells who are set to BURST in cc config. Not 100% sure if it would make sense to only start burst when target is deep frozen? Update: Or is the cooldowns option supposed to be the burst enabler? Because it looks like Ice Block and Deep Freeze are still used, even when cooldowns is disabled. So for me this burst - cooldown thing is somehow confusing. But maybe I just haven't understood it correctly 2. POM Options Whats the difference between On cooldown and optimal DPS? When is it used with optimal DPS? Thanks in advance for your help and great work! Haggy
Hmm so to get burst work how you're wanting it, you'll need to set conditions on Icy Veins for instance to low HP, and 0 % - that way the routine won't use it itself unless burst is enabled. May just add an option to be used on 'burst' though. Basically though, cooldowns allows Icy Veins / Alter Time to be used by the routine when it's ready, but burst forces them to be used instantly. PoM -> On cooldown = used every time it's ready... optimal DPS differs between each spec, but it's used when the routine decides its best to be used - i.e. in combination with Alter Time etc.
The strange thing is, that Icy Veins is also used with Burst enabled when it's set to "Never". It would be great to have kind of a manual BURST option. And the CC then enables the best DPS skills with the best possible rotation to put as much pressure out as possible. So that it can be timed correctly with a CC chain. Of course I can activate those spells manually, but if the CC has BURST mode, it knows what to do next and can adjust. Thanks for considering this as an option for the future. Haggy
Yeah I know, it's currently working as burst enabled OR whatever the settings are set as - be better to be burst mode only etc. If I get the time tomorrow I'll change how burst mode works - would be a better implementation of it.
Cool! Thanks for that. By the way. Your routine ROCKS big!! I played like 40 arena games with it today. And we won 2 out of 3 games. And I played with a low geared Warrior. Keep up the great work! Haggy
Hey Millz, another question for you. My raid leader chooses me to kill the Engineer on the Garrosh fight every week. For some reason, don't know what it is, HB or your premium routine, will not attack him when I target him. It forces me to manually dps the target. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but I have been so spoiled with HB that I honestly don't know the mage rotation so I'm spamming buttons while praying that I kill him before he lets off his attack. Is there something in the settings that is preventing HB from attacking? Or is this something with your routine that you have yet to program.
Millz, This addon you made. I have to ask, if i put that in interface folder, is it a dead giveaway i bot?
Millz, any reports on ppl getting banned using your profiles? Any thoughts about those Tyrael PVE bans too?
I know about the issue, but I've still not done the Garrosh fight myself yet to be able to debug it (I've just unlocked the last part of SoO in LFR so will know what's up soon hopefully - I'm miles behind, I know). What I believe is happening, is that Honorbuddy is detecting that the unit is out of line of sight, so is returning that we can't attack him - which means the routine doesn't cast anything. If this is the case, then the only resolution I can think of is ignoring LoS checks when the unit is the engineer. Nah it should be fine, but there's always an element of risk. I use it. Not heard of any. People being banned for using Tyrael/LazyRaider generally do other stuff on the account (like BGBuddy) or on related accounts which links back to them.
Good to hear. Fortunately last night my raid leader decided he needed more single target damage on Garrosh, so he put a shaman on it instead. With your routine, I am constantly battling a hunter for top dps and he has a higher ilvl than i do. Don't feel bad, I have not done SoO in lfr or Flex. We concentrate on normal. Get Garrosh down and then start heroic. I wouldn't say I am "miles ahead" of you, but I would say I wouldn't be this far if it wasn't for your routine
