12 hours per day! You are monster, and Blizzard had to slay you, for real :/ Man, I dont judge you, but since almost a year, anyone who use gather bot for more than 6-8 hours daily get autoflagged and autobanned in few days or weeks. Just appeal with the live chat, and lets hope you get a nice GM on the other side, so he can lift it to 72h. Good luck.
Seriously, lot of this going around right now. Botting without getting caught has gotten a bit tougher recently, but it's still possible, if it weren't these forums would be a lot more active with the reports. Sorry, should have written my post out in multiple sections. The only part relating to what you said, and why I quoted you was the "Seriously, lot of this going around right now", meant that there are a lot of people spreading misinformation. The rest was unrelated to what you said.
I dont see how that relates to his post, or mine? Saying that you get autobanned after few days or weeks of 6-8h of gathering is just bullshit, and i say that while my gatherers are running for nearly 4 months now with 12-16 hours of MoP gathering a day.
People who deserve to get banned: -People posting cheap prices over 10x stacks same item. I can just look at ah and spot 50 botters straight away. I imagine how many of those toons are linked with other accounts. -People who don't have safe account with seperate ip address and contact info. -People who still bot with same old ip address that had old account which got banned. -People who stay longer than 30min in same zone gathering items. Takes 1 goldseller spot you and you're dead because he doesn't want competition. You steal 1 mine from lowbie and reports you when he doesn't get whispered back. -People who use bots to undercut ah (glyphs) and don't watch their bots. 1 unanswered whisper from angry competitor and he will report your stupidity. -People who are stupid enough to transfer gold/items using trade or mail function between accs and show blizzard all clear logs. Best way to trade is trough ah because you buy from 500 different users it's impossible to track. -People who show their bot movements farming mobs especially longer period of times. In bgs you're safe but when it comes farming you will be noticed. 1 whisper and you're dead. This info is not comming from experience. It's called common sense. You expose your dumb actions to others and you will receive dumb result.
