I think you should be happy that they even designed this bot. Sure it has some flaws, but it does level up nicely from 15 to 80. They could have just said, meeh lets not make any more botbases and you would have nothing to complain about. So I would give them props that they are giving you something to complain. Everyone knows that honorbuddy is half a bot, it's a program that enables people to make their own profiles, everyone knows this. So if you need a SoO script, MAKE ONE and stop bitching. You paid 20 euro for a lifetime subscription, for that sum of money they are doing a fantastic job.
For real bugs Highvoltz are fixing them really fast, like with that jumping thing the last month.

@Person who was talking about 10-25 man raiding with just bots. Aggro-swapping or debuff swapping tanks etc of course its possible, everything is possible. And not especially hard. But meh why bother? Just for the fun of it? I guess that's a valid point

 

Actually tank switching isn't that complex. A simple comparison between the debuff stack on you and debuff stack on the boss target will let you know if you are the active tank or not. I've managed to use this to move the boss to my ignore list when I'm not the active tank and back when I am but this is very bad practice for a raid.
The trick is that we only want to enable/disable taunting based on this comparison and as far as I can tell, this will require class specific detail work.

 

So you're justifying the lame support for this by saying "Well you paid x money for it so tough?". Where did you learn economics and business? Because I sure won't hire you to work for me. Are you the guy who does a half-assed job no matter where you are?

 

That is the key. If they had stayed on top of developing, improving and supporting it and didn't use this as a selling point for their entire program... Now it's falling apart somewhat and the faith that was instilled when it first worked flawlessly is now almost diminished. The returns aren't as great thus the concern over the entire bots stability is now in play and people are like "It's just a bot yada yada yada..."

No it is NOT just a bot, it is a business model which Bossland and crew are still being lax on. They quit taking it seriously because I believe that since it's not the cash cow it once was... the push to get it corrected, solid support behind it and a desire to continue to keep it the best is now out the window. If there was a HUGE demand for this bot at this very moment you would see releases every 2-3 days like we used to get at points. Where the customer was once important and listened too and responded too. We shouldn't be debating ANY of this, this shouldn't even be a point right now, but post after post... and bitch after bitch...

WE GET IGNORED, SHOVED ASIDE, CENSORED and simply put... not treated like customers at some points.

This is a money maker Bossland. Keep dedicating like you USED to do! Quit giving up on it and I bet... you'd make a LOT more money on it.

When you have memory leaks, cpu spikes, and crashing... I call that a problem regardless of what your devs tell you. They get paid to do a job I imagine... thus as it's a job... they should do it right.

I want 3 more lifetime sessions, I have the cash in my pocket at this very point but it makes me want to simply NOT spend the money after watching the posts, forums in general and the support people get. You and your company including its employees, devs etc... should be pressing even harder than you are and maybe... just maybe... you'd make more money and respect than you've ever got.

I know I'd drop my money on you had you kept up on this. Now I feel like maybe I should look into other bots that are smaller and less commercialized/corporate and have the support I am looking for. I know if I owned this business I'd be stopping me now by finding a solution instead of ignoring the problem or coming up with some excuse as to why it's the customers fault.

 

Well it dsnt matter, there is no other both that is even close to how awesome honorbuddy is. So you're stuck with this. And instead of complaining - solve the problem. I.e make your own profile, it aint that hard.

But I guess you're one of those people that just complain complain and never just sits down and fixes the issue.

You just literally exposed yourself from the response you gave. You're not better than anyone else. Yes complaining is really the thing to do because WE did not create this bot... Bossland and new hires did. Then they got lazy and quit trying. We don't OWE THEM anything!!! We are CUSTOMERS. Get that right now! And stop being a douche-bag please!!! What do u mean with Singular set Targeting > Disable Targeting to true and Tanking > Disable Targeting to true on your tank. I see in HB > Class config > Targeting by Singular > None, Enable or Auto.

 

So it is up to the paying customers to fix the problems? I bet that goes over real well when you go into McDonald's and the manager tosses you a bun and slab of meat and tells you if you're hungry, cook your own damn burger....AFTER YOU PAID HIM FOR IT! Macatho, your logic is illogical. Please stop, just stop.

Some fixes for Dungeonbuddy coming up in next HB release will be.

Gates of the Setting Sun
- Corpse run for Gates of the Setting Sun should now work.
- Ranged classes will now keep their distance from Commander Ri'mok at all angles. Previously they would would try avoid his frontal arc however that didn't work so well.

Siege of Niuzao Temple
- Fixed an issue where tank would try to pull non-hositile NPCs while clearing trash before the the boss General Pa'valak

Sorry I have no ETA atm. I've done some work towards getting Siege of Orgrimmar scripted but had to lay it to the side when higher priority tasks were placed on my plate. I'll get right back to it once I get the chance.

 

That was good enough! People just needed a good update and status. People worry when they stop seeing communications or a decrease in answers via the questions asked.

 

Four months after SoO has launched...that's a pretty lame excuse for no scrips working at all. Sorry, still not acceptable.

 

I agree and dis-agree. You have to understand though they have to develop this from scratch. THAT said... 4 months should have been a lot of time to get that done in. Sometimes peoples priorities are skewed, even when they are paid for it, and it's a job to them.

 

Is anyone else having issues with Dungeonbuddy? I am just trying to run two characters, healer and dps. When they enter dungeon only one knows what it is doing and the other just sits there. I set it up correctly with party leader/follower etc, wondering whats wrong with it

 

I ran Dungeonbuddy all day yesterday in Raid (LFR) mode (auto select best raid). I came home yesterday to find my character valour capped, at least 8 pieces of loot (most 476-483 so it became enchanting mats). I have to say that when this bot works, it works really well. I am looking forward to when the scripting for the remainder of SoO is finished. It will be awesome.

 

I just leveled an alt and i was expecting to farm LFR SoO with dungeonbuddy.
I was shocked it only worked on the first part out of four, where the last 3 had no profiles written.
4 months is not acceptable at all.

Sure, fixes to dungeons are nice and all but dev priorities are screwed if this much time passed and just 1 SoO profile was released.

 

And the profile for SoO 1 is horrid and buggy. Highvoltz is giving lame excuses yet again. Sorry, I'll give you two months to get them right, four months is downright pitiful....throwing money at these people was utterly stupid.

 

Honorbuddy .719 seems to break Dungeonbuddy altogether. If I hit start after updating it asks me to select a profile.

Also I don't know why people care so much about the latest LFR raids but don't seem to care about 70% of the dungeons up through 85 just not working if you tank.

 

Because bot tanking those dungeons is dangerous and asking for a ban. Most people use the not for max lvl things or gathering. Hence the more interest in lfr.
