Hey, I just recently purchased honorbuddy to try it out, I got the trial version. So far I love it but I want to keep my account banfree. I have only been using honorbuddy for one day so far. I read the sticky on what to think about when botting to minimize the risk to get banned. I am running two monitors and from now on I will only be using my bot when Im playing on my main account with my alt account on my second monitor. I even renamed the software to something else incase blizzard can see what programs I am running on my computer, but if I am sitting at my computer everytime I am using the bot, can I still get banned?
about a guaranteed ban if you use GB2 nowadays, doesn't matter if you monitor it 101% of the time. Try not to use GB2 for the time being. But botting 2 accounts on a single IP, running about doing different things, for prolong period 2-3hrs might get your account flag for monitoring and maybe a ban afterwards. Like many professional GOLD sellers have said, it's not profitable farming GOLD using HB/GB2 anymore. So as an advice, don't follow in their footsteps and get your main banned.
I disagree with purelife. I run 2 accounts and use GB2 for about 4-5 hours a day on each one. One is recently purchased the other I have had since June. The one I purchased in June has had a 72 hour suspension, this is most likely from when I was running Kick's leveling a new toon and it got stuck on a sign in trade district for about 2 hours. I would recommend a couple things though; don't bot if you will be devastated to loose your account, don't mail what you farm (deposit in a guild bank), don't post auctions of raw materials. The way that I operate is that I have my bots deposit mats in a guild bank. Before they deposit, the majority of the ore is smelted to bars. Then the herbs and bars are retrieved by my main who sends the bars to a transmute master and the herbs to either an potion master, or a scribe. The bars are turned to trillium and the herbs to ink or potions. At this point each stack of ore you farmed is turned in to a single trillium bar. Then six of those make each living steel. So when you think about number of sales, the first 12 stacks of ore you farm makes 2 bars. Then the remainder is sold as trillium bars and they are stacked up in stacks of 5 or so and sell with a minimal impact on the ah. Remember the most profitable route short term can easily be the most costly in the long term (meaning costs you your account). My first ban ever shortly followed a 3 week stint of mining 300 stacks of ore a night and selling them all on the ah. Who knew that was a bad idea...
It's good to have ppl like u still botting small time. I buy lots of gold and spends them, bought a al'ar mount for 1million gold (Bought from websites), bought Spectral Tiger for 700k gold. I've bought over 10 million gold and bought nearly every vanity in games. And nowadays there aren't many materials on the AH anymore, we still need farmers, or people like you supplying the AH since the big timers are gone. Although I'm also using HB, but I'm never a fan of leaving it running farming materials over time. Seen too many reporters, even people in this forum are doing it, so it's just not worth it. Continue doing what you are doing, and stay safe. Or it'll be really quiet in the AH, and I'd have nothing to spend with those gold.
