9 Year old ACC, Got banned Perma - Need some help! Is there any way I could appeal this ban, what is the best approach to doing so? All help is very appreciated! Edit: I have never been suspended for "botting" before but I have been suspended for short periods of times for being a dick etc.
if you did pvp the whole time with PQR forget it ^^... many of us lost mains acc since the last banwave on PQR if you did only pve maybe you have the chance but if you played very much rbg bgs arena with pqr .. i think its gameover for your account than . but you can try sir .
I was only running GB2 gathering in Pandaria on my druid, I didnt even play for a minute yesterday and I got this message when I woke up this morning.
gatherbuddy on 10 year account... yiekes doesnt matter what you write, just tell them you did nothing wrong you are a dedicated long time player. if you can swing a possible "hacked" into it go with that. but they check IPs so it may not work. then chat / phone calls if initial is denied, trying to change to 72 hours + warning since you made a mistake, wont do it again, etc. honestly chances are low but worth a shot.
So do I admit to hacking? ~ And say something on the lines of I was getting bored of waiting for the next x-pack?
Rule number 1 - never ever under any circumstances admit to botting/hacking, or anything you know you did wrong. No matter what it was, never say it.
what i meant was, you can say your acct may have been hacked via keylogger and someone was doing bad stuff on it. say you now found the logger, changed email PW etc. do NOT admit to botting. dont even mention botting, just say you dont know whats going on, maybe they made a mistake, etc. AFTER your appeal is denied - AFTER - you can try admitting and saying sorry honest mistake etc, or your bother did it, whatever. at this point you got nothing to lose. it also helps to actually interact with a GM via phone or chat, not just spam tickets they auto-decline. someone once got an account unbanned with "i know i screwed up but here is a unicorn i drew in MS", so anything is possible.

Chances are in your favor. Your account is nearing 10 years old. Give it a shot, do not admit to botting or hacking but don't directly deny it. I've gotten multiple bot-only accounts unbanned by writing a brief ticket asking them to reconsider "this is a misunderstanding, i have no intention of breaking the rules, my account means a lot to me" - something along those lines. I've never been banned on my main account for using GB2, but I seldom use it on that account. It's not the bot base, it's the public profiles and reckless use of bot that gains a ban, I know from experience, not word of mouth like most of the dumb bastards I've seen post in the ban forums. That said, I highly recommend you to rarely bot on your main account, it's an old account and I if you are as attached to your account as much as I am, you can't afford to lose it. Good luck getting it back, I'm sure you will. And bot as safe as possible.
Hey man, sorry to hear. I was in the same boat with you yesterday, also had long term acct banned, realm firsts etc. Just tell them you know nothing about this, did not do anything wrong. You will get it lifted to 72-hr, that is if you did not get cought before. Don't bot on your main acct any more, you only get the "out of jail free card" once
