Alright guys, so I have $1700 set aside to build myself a botting PC that can run about 20-30 bots. Any idea what parts I should buy? I'm not much of a hardware guy.
i4930 Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 Intel X79 So.2011 Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Retail mainboard 24 gb ram gtx 760 2tb hdd
save the money and get a 800$ machine... or multiple cheaper ones... running 20+ (hell even 7+) bots on one machine is basically selfdestruction.
I run 15 bots on my pc for 1+ year every 2 days for 20 hours and nothing has happend. No over heating or anything my specs are intel i5-2500k *over clocked* 16gigs ram geforce gtx 480 gigabyte z68-ud3h-b3 new costed around 1500 but thats monitor keyboard mouse headset and all
My advice to you is..... Get intel and use two computers. Even if it is a little more expensive AMD will make up for it on your electric bill
By selfdestruction I meant you will get banned very fast, are you telling me you bot 20h/2day for over one year on 15 bots and you didn't get banned ?
The ssd won't really play a particular role on how many bots you can have active at the same time but the speed they will open up and the booting of the os.Stick to a normal HDD As the other members already stated, you will need a good CPU and yeah, lots of Ram.Since you got the cash, personally,i would go with: Cpu-Intel i7-4770 Motherboard-GIGABYTE Motherboard B85-HD3(up to 32gb of ram and one of the cheapest in the category) Ram-GEIL 32GB (4X8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHZ(more than enough Ram!) PSU-THERMALTAKE Power Supply SMART 730W SPS-730MP upto87%(Since this will be a botting machine, meaning it will run around the clock you need one with high efficiency so the electricty bills are cheaper!) Graphics Card-GIGABYTE VGA R9 280X(3072MB)-(Depending on the software setup(you set it right it won't load your gpu at all even if it's a cheap one,you can cut down your cost here and not spend a lot on the gpu.) This setup is a beast actually,Linked that rig depending the availability and prices on my country.
