What is soft lock and hard lock difference?

 

Hardlock is the HB framelocking method, introduced since version 700 (or so). Softlocking is the "old" framelocking method, that only framelocks the CR but not HB itself. Like it used to be!
And it's working wonders for me so far. Finally doing Flex raiding (12 or 13 ppl) with Oracle @ 40-60fps. Only when it's very busy I get drops to 32fps.
I do need to mention that I have to test LFR, because that always brought my pc to his/her knees (10fps while heavy AoE fighting).

 

So which one is better ?

 

Well, depends on your pc and on the CR. I always had better performance before HB had it's own framelocking method; feels like something is still not right. When you're using Combat bot, Singular and hand-leveling you still get stutters in HB. That should not happen.
With Tyrael you can framelock the CR again without framelocking HB. For me; this might well increase my pleasure while raiding again.

Tyrael 5.6.0 (Release) has been pushed to release!

* Some code has been reorganized.
* GUI has had a small revamp. A bit more space on it now !
* Reduced the amount of lines of the CreateRoot() Composite.
* Removed Minify. The technique isn't ready yet and it seems to be hard to implement in a BotBase.
* Increased the speed of version check in the AutoUpdater.
* Added the option to Pause Tyrael with only the modifier key.
* Added printing of Pause and Resume of Tyrael into the HB Log.
* Added SoftLock into Tyrael (See the FAQ for more info).
* Updated the Quick Config buttons to represent more variaty of speeds.

What's the difference between HardLock and SoftLock?
There is actually a quite important difference between the both of them. Advise on which one to use, is something I will not provide. If you're serious enough to play with it, you should do a few dummy tests with one of them enabled and see what works the best for you (DPS, HPS and FPS). There is quite a difference between routines, on how they react to both locks.

Both of the options are a FrameLock method!

• Hardlock: This locks Honorbuddy, BotBase and Routine in 1 frame per tick (This should in theory provide the best DPS/HPS).
• Softlock: This does not lock Honorbuddy, but locks only the BotBase and routine in 1 frame per tick.

 

Can anyone help to guide me how to make it works? I created the folder in Bots but nothing happened or I don't know how to work it.

nomnomnom the new update has increased performance with Fury Unleashed and Leaves remarkably. ( Thumbs Up )

 

1. when you click on maximum performance you get softlock with 100tps, not 60tps with hardlock

2. the versions before was always hardlock or?

 

I have downloaded Tyrael several times and my GUI does not look like the image above. A buddy of mine took a screen shot of his, and it matches whats posted here. We both have the same version of Tyrael. What am I missing?

You're better off downloading the attached zipfile (First post) from the 5.6.0 version. And extract the files into your HonorBuddy\Bots\Tyrael folder. Make sure to clean up your current Tyrael files first!

 

so u move ur char, and tyrael will do the rest? :S

 

You move by hand and select target to attack. Bot takes care of the rotation as it were.
