      Hello guys,

I've been using some leveling service where I know it's been botting. However, after a few days of botting myself, I was perm banned for botting.

      ***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION***

      Account: WOW1
Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software

Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software.

These programs (commonly called cheats, bots, and hacks) automate certain aspects of gameplay, or provide unintended advantages and abilities to the player. This type of cheating undermines other players' experience and severely upsets the balance of the game environment.

Blizzard reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use:
Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use

This page contains details on how suspensions are appealed and reviewed:

      Regards,
      Blizzard Entertainment

I didn't really think about it, but I wrote them an email where I seriously admitted I have been doing "illigal" stuff:

      Dear Blizzard,

It have come to my attention you have banned my account, which I?m sorry to see. I restarted this game as you had the December promotion, and I?m really grateful of this. However, as I felt I was behind in the game, I came to the conclusion to take the fast and illegal way out of this. And I?m really sorry I picked this option, as crime doesn?t pay.
You have my deepest apologize, and the only thing I really wanna do is to play World of Warcraft once again and take care of my characters aswell as playing with my friends again, and I?m deeply sorry I now can?t play with my friends, because I did one stupid mistake :(

I hope you will re-consider this, as it will NEVER happen again
I do hope I will be able to speak to you, and you will take this very serious,
As a big company I hope you can take my apologize, and let me play once again :(

      ----------------------

I went the way to admit everything, and hope they were happy that single day, this is my response:

"This is the latest response from Customer Support:
      Hey there!

So what happened here was that your account was hacked, and as a result we had to lock it down to secure the account.

I'd strongly recommend checking out this site: Battle.net

As you are now reclaiming it, the following actions have been taken:

      > Your password has been reset
      > Your accounts have been unlocked

As such, you should be able to login and play as normal now :)

Have a great rest of the day!"

      ----------

Was I just VERY lucky here? Are they high on their office, or what did just happen? I told the truth, and admitted I was doing something wrong, and they claimed I was hacked?
Dont they read tickets at all?

      Regards,
      Homerrox

it's very normal to get your account back after someone got banned for something else. but if you do it multiple times, eventually they won't give your account back.

they only look at the IP address and say "yep, you were hacked" without I believe checking if you were powerleveled etc, they don't have the staff anymore i think.

Giwin, some powerlevelers skill by free herb and mining to 600. Blizzard Support could see in this hijacked account, which were then bruttaly used for gather botting :D

Maybe because the most people who purchase leveling stuff are playing legit after and dont use the characters for gatherbots.

He read you message and instead of 72 hours, he decided to instantly release you (usually they don't) but there's no such kind of automated message so he gave you that one.

Weird thing I admitted I was doing something I shouldn't, and he ignored it, and just claimed I was hacked, this is the weird part imo

So you assume the GMs always read the wall of text on the tickets? I really doubt it, and since your ticket is labeled on his side as appeal to ban/suspension, so he was prolly following standart procedures, to check if the acc was accessed from weird/uncommon location etc., and when he confirmed that, he simply removed the suspension, and picked appropriate replay, instead of reading 1 more boring appeal :D
