I have recieved an ingame email, where the guy who sent it, wants me to give him 5k, for not reporting me for botting. in the mail he claimed he had seen me in SB before and so on. I deleted the mail and did not notice the name. What would you do? Stop botting in SB for a while? pay him? choose another bot route? If / when he contacts me again, report him for blackmailing me? -legend87
GMs just wont bann ya for a player report, if the reporter gave a detailed info GMs will start to watch your game behaviours/playtime, i suggest you to play by hand a week or two.
Like Runkel said, probably the smartest way. You can also skip boting with that char for a while and start boting with another just until the heat get off
GM report the person (you can say i got mail from someone and he was attempting to blackmail me b/c he thinks I'm botting. lol I farm and watch TV) -- say that u deleted the mail and that you want him banned and u want a GM to check to see if you're on /friend and remove the /friend so he can't remember your name. -Kick
just ignore that guy i get funny guys all the time im in a guild botting then i just say wanna get reported he just leaves i say if you bother me 1 more time i report u for harrash
Ok thx guys, for the really fast replies and to make me feel better This community is awesome. Thx guys, you are the best -legend87
Don't do anything so far, lay low on botting. If he contact you, you will keep your cool, not ignoreing him (because that will make him mad and reporting you). Just simply talk to him (you can always come up with, my little brother wanted to play some) then if he keeps going, just report him be harass and blackmailing you. Try to make him look bad as you chat, by keeping your cool and make him curse at you. GM's deal with stupid teens everyday so he will be more or less willing to hit the ban button, if he is trolling you with crazy words
No i deleted the mail, before i though it all through but he gave me a deadline, lol, to 21.00 tomorrow, sunday
You can try catching his attention by doing some /2 social talk, this will also make you look more like a player, because the GM is probably going though your chatlogs. Also I suggest that you are doing a few achievements and maybe even some quests if you are low on your quests completed. But if you have full green/blue gear, 450 mining / 450 herbalism and 3 quests completed I would jizz in my pants, if I were you
Yeah but the deal is, if this were YOU, you wouldnt do that at all. It sucks when people put so much time and effort (money too?) into a project and some dum teen just ruin it all. Situations like these should carefully be dealt with.
You shouldn't try and explain anything. If you start to justify your play to anyone but a GM, it will look suspicious. Stop botting for a while and play by hand, make sure you're about on the deadline and if he /w's you say that you'll report him for harassment if he doesn't stop it.
Have you tried botting with a name with an alt code or two? Might make it harder for someone to contact you.
