Patch 5.4.7 Live this week

Hi guys,

Just saw on MMO/C it's been reported that Patch 5.4.7 is to go live this week.

As you know there can be downtime whilst HonorBuddy transitions to the new patch so maybe now is the time to prepare for it. Stock up on mats, take extra time to preen and prune your auctions -maybe craft more exotics. The downtime can be an opportunity to play the AH market.

For those of us that bot so much we can't remember our own rotation, we may want to get out excuses ready. Not for the first or last time.

Oh man might be able to instant 90 my next toon. What on eather do I need honorbuddy for now?

I'll just go play DayZ SA until HB is patched!

 

I won't embarrass myself lol, I'll just do auctions and keep low for the day!

The upgrade to 90 might not go live this week, though it's confirmed that the 'feature' is included with new patch.

 

I kind of doubt they'll go live with that until WoD is released... they also stated som WoD related content was inculded in this patch

 

looking at the patch notes for 5.4.7 it doesn't seem like there are that many class changes. some pvp here and there, but i dont pvp. So this is good news for CR writers. Hopefully, once HB stable is out, the CR's wont be too far behind from being updated.

only real major class change I noticed was with warrior and that pummel and disrupting shout now have some kind of shared cooldown. Which isn't that huge of a deal i suppose. I have a 90 warrior that I PvE with and it doesnt bother me much. I suppose it may bother the PvP crowd though.

Well, hopefully the update process of HB and all community deve projects goes smoothly!

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, hopefully CRs won't be heavily effected!

Yeah I don't think many are expecting it to be live. But the assets are included in the patch, so maybe we'll more info on it soon.

 

After the whole PQR fiasco im pretty sure ralphus and his minions will take their good time with the update - and so they should

 

I will probably work on my professions and visit some toons I have put in storage.

Guys, don't panic, with all the recent issues with in-game latency and login being a nightmare it will be believable for others that you have "really" a connection problems a can lay down until HB will be up again
For myself, I am fine as I play my toon on HC progress raids by hand, so take your time HB devs, rather be safe than sorry later

 

Hmmm, upping the Timeless Isle purchaseable weapons to ilvl 489... time to grind some coins me thinks.

 

Thats why I'm a carebear... Got sick of all the gankstars out there and started over on a PvE server

 

Wait, you mean you don't get ganked by your own side on a PvE server?

 

Hell no.. we are all huggybears over there, we light campfires in the Celestial Arena and sing "Kumbaya" ...

Seriously though, I have never been ganked on TI, impossible since I'm not Pvp flagged, and Alliance and Horde actually take down rares togehter

 

So what I am seeing from the posts in the thread is that HB servers/program won't be available for quite awhile after the servers come back up? 1 day 2 days?

Sorry never really actively botted right after the major patch updates before.

 

We don't know really, but most likely, yes, HB will be unavailable until the dev team had a chance to determine the changes, the new offsets etc etc. and also, making damn sure that no new detection mechanisms are put into place with the new patch.

Usually, unless it's a major patch, HB is back up in a few hours, but it has been down for up to two days on major patches, this one however does not look all that big, so if I would wenture a guess, I would say at the most 6 to 8 hours, but that pure speculation on my part.

Also, be aware that the dev team NEVER gives an ETA on when HB will be back up, so there will be no point in asking, it will be released when it's done, tested and considered safe to use.

 

I don't mind about HB being down as long as it needs, better safe than sorry. I just don't want to accidentally log into HB thinking it is safe and get hit with a detection from Blizz, but as long as it is down that shouldn't be a problem.

 

my guess is, after the patch goes live, the HB team will have a beta release out sometime later today. sometime within 12 hours after patch goes live.

but after that, could be 2-3 days of beta and test releases before stable release is dropped.

it just doesn't seem like a big patch at all. then again, i know nothing of the inner workings of WoW or HB, so i could be dead wrong about all of this.
