Ninja patch released

Just thought id let everyone know. Honorbuddy is no longer working.

This means Honorbuddy and Demonbuddy are offline ATM. Yikes... no botting while im at work I guess.

edit: well let me ask since I'm new to HB, normally the team take how long to hack again? 1~2 days or more?

Usually by the next day. I've seen it happen sooner, and I've seen it happen later. Depends on what Blizzard actually did with their patch. If it's nothing major then I assume it's just a matter of changing the version # of WOW that HB recognizes as valid.

Doesnt this happen every Wednesday? or atleast every other? Blizz make tiny changes often seemingly only to inconvenience the bot community. (they cant be naive enough to think it will stop it surely?)

Edit - then again if they actually wanted to put an end to botters, simply make the game update twice daily, changin a file name or something each time... making zero differecne to the gameplay, requiring a tiny couple of kb patch (the renamed file) It wouldnt inconvenience real players much to download a tiny file every day, but would make updating HB really damned annoying.

Nah.. we usually go a couple of months without something like this... But as we get closer to WOD it may happen more often

 

good to know, am new to HB myself (like within a week tbh). Genuinely expected a tiny update to stop HB every down time tbh.

sweet. last thing i'm still left in the dark with - do we have to manually update the bot with the new patch or is it all automatic?

 

Generally speaking the best way is to uninstall the prior version, delete your cache files and compiled stuff, and then reinstall the new version. The bot -can- autoupdate but inevitably someone has problems with the autoupdate. Given the time it came out it will probably be 12 hours or more before new version is out but never know. If nothing major was added and it passes testing it could be sooner.

 

ok so just delete the bot and reinstall it? will the homepage say when it is ready?
