I am thinking about getting a second WoW account specifically to farm ores/herbs/whatever else. I'd set it up so that it would mail the goods to a character on my main account (or again on the second account), who would then transfer the profits to my main character on my main account. Now would it be worth to go through with this? I'm weighing up my options right now and would appreciate the opinions of others on this.
well thats sort of what i do. i farm stuff for a while on one, then stop it after a few hours, then farm on the other account, been going strong for a year no bans. the profiles are slightly varied also so it doesnt look as suspicuous. at the moment i am using one account for mount farming while i play the other. its easy to make enough gold to pay for game time also. if you have half a brain that is.
Yes. Never bot for herbs/ore on your main account if you want to keep it. Also keep mailing to a minimum, use a guild bank instead.
Without a doubt worth it, I've been going strong for well over four months, made substantial profit. As a previous poster mentioned, having a Guild Bank is a must, it allows for easy transition and farming capabilities. All you have to do from there on out is keep an eye out on the market and its profit structure, fashion and trends, manipulate those markets and you're good to go.
Is it wise to have the same IP on your main account and on your botting account? What is the safest way to transfer gold from your bot account to your main?
It won't really matter when you only got 2 accounts ;P The safest way imo. is to use the auctionhouse to "transfer" the gold.. make an auction on your "legit" account, and set the price at 100k.. then go on your botting acc and buyout that item.. The AH takes a cut, but it's nothing compared to losing your entire acc.
New question; may seem silly, but which one of the following could make the most potential profit?... 1) Mining Ghost Iron Ore, and then selling it on the AH. OR 2) Mining Ghost Iron Ore, prospecting it into gems, making those gems into other items, and selling said items on the AH.
You can easily make more profit than doing that, but of those two nr 1. since spirit dust isn't worth shit on most realms.. it's too late to sell gems aswell, atleast on most realms.
look the bot does most things for you, the least you could do was research what would be best to do to make some cash. people arent going to spill their best gold making secrets
From what I've read, prospecting/transmuting offers a good source of profit, mining/smelting is a viable source as well.
they cant ban via IP. Never have. Think of what this would do to public access places and schools etc.
