What is this?
This is a Twitter Plugin for honorbuddy it allows honorbuddy to tweet what its doing, as it happens

What kind of stuff does it tweet about?
TweetBuddy, is set to send out a tweet on the following events.
Player Whispers.
Duel Requests.
Zone Movement.
Achivements
Player Level Up.

Please Note:
Because whispers are unencrypted. i suggest setting up an account just for Mr.TweetBuddy, and Setting it to Private. so you can monitor from your main account.

yes.

Is there anything i should know?
when you first run the plugin, click . Settings
Then once you have the plugin open click Configure
and then Click on Get PIN.
it will take you to Twitter.Com, to ask you if you want to allow the plugin to access your twitter account.
then input the PIN and click authenticate.
after that you can close the config window, and you should now be able to send tweets out manualy if you desire, if you can send a tweet out manualy via the plugin, then Mr.TweetBuddy is working correctly, and will start sending out updates.

Known issues
Sometimes the plugin will display messages like the one below. in your Log.
[Mr.TweetBuddy]:An error occurred while posting your tweet:
The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
That means honorbuddy just sent the same message more then it should have, and really is nothing to worry about.

 

ok moved it to the right section now, it turns out Archives is not a very good place to create a thread for a new plugin. lol
anyway, hope you all enjoy.

edit: i got it sorted that i found iphone app with push notification

but have a problem.
say i opend 2 HB, and, the pin for Mrtweetbuddy are assumed as the same, however, i tried to test to pm both, only 1 of the character's PMs were sent to twitter.
any help on this? or do i have to enter different pins?

edit2: just noticed that the 2nd character which i mention that i receive no notifications when got PM, however, i got notification that it dinged but not the character no.1.. any idea why? cheers"

 

ok, before i saw this, i hated twitter

the settings with the PIN, and OAuth information that the plugin uses to connect to twitter, is stored in the plugin directory. you will need two installations of honorbuddy, to send to two diffrent accounts at the same time.

so. go to twitter.com and login with Twitter account 1, for Bot 1, and follow the pin instructions.
log out of twitter on twitter account 1. - just log out of the website.
log back into twitter with Twitter Account 2 for Bot 2. and follow the Pin Instructions again.

so Honorbuddy install 1, will only deal with Twitter Account 1, and Bot 1
and Honorbuddy Install 2, will only Deal with Twitter Account 2 and Bot 2.

once the pins have been setup for both accounts, you shouldnt have to deal with giving the pin again or anything. as long as that twitter "App" is allowed to use your Twitter Account.

hope that made sense, maybe in the future, ill work on a way to deal with multiple bots. i just didnt wanna do it by toon name. since you would have to re-pin for each toon you wanted to use.

 

ahhh! Okie! TYVM! now im having trouble to push notifications on my iphone with my own Tweets T_T -pulls hair-

if anyone knows how to get tihs done with push notifications frm iphone, pls pm me?? appreciated!

I keep getting this error, i even erased my old plugin file and started a new one.

Could not construct instance of MrTweetBuddy! Exception was thrown. Exception:
DoString: Invalid Executor.

 

post a full log, i dont use any DoStrings, so i dont know what it could be, so youll need to post a full log as an attachement so i can try and figure out whats going on

I love this plugin! One problem though - the plugin is tweeting on zone changing, but not on leveling up. Here's a log! View attachment 12054 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

is there a way to make the tweet when the "Session is invalid!" or when the account gets disconnected?

I keep getting this error. If it levels up or if the zones change. Every single time I get this error. Got any ideas? I already reloaded WOW and HB but no luck.

I can send tweets manually through the plugin but it wont do it by itself.

 

yea, im not sure, maybe once i have time ill take a look at it, but if you can manual send tweets. then thats a good thing, that means there shouldn't be any difference between the two, unless they added more detection for bots.

 

would love an update for it to work CnG if you can
