I was around when WoWGlider/MMOGlider was first up and coming and after they lost I stopped playing WoW all together till I saw a friend using HB. I believe MMOGlider only lost cause they were convicted of using intellectual property (segments of the game copied in memory) that belong to Blizzard. Ofc, in America there are such loose translations of this law, and I think the courts sided with Blizzard over MDY Industries because it had a .inc next to it.

no, because blizzards legal stance would not change until after bossland won, and lets face it this fight won't end, if it ended and bossland won, the game truly would be ruined, knowing botting was legal would destroy WoW.

No. If Bossland wins making bots / selling bots is a legal buisness. Nothing less Nothing more.
It doesn't say anything about using bots as player. Blizzard can still ban you for botting. The just can't close bot making companys anymore and more bots would be sold.
So Blizzard has to fight against bot on a technical level (ingame) not on the legal way

I have to ask this as

When the other companys come for u wtf are u going to do when they sue your ass like blizzard is doing one of them must be close to doing this as it has cost them money to stop u from making a program in there program

These company's are under corporate laws where they are not allowed to take you to court as u are a little company

Type into google the Words corporate laws this is why it took blizzard there time to sue u

As I say they must be close to doing it again any one of the bots u make

All that will happen is your court costs will get bigger and in the end u will be broke like any other bot maker has had done to them

So far with the history of blizzard they win 100% of the time it has nothing to do with laws in the country's at all where they win it

How much are your court costs now it must be staggering blizzards would be huge now as it is several Million Dollars they are using layers that deal with this sort of thing all the time copyright

Company's like blizzard do not go after u if they are not going to win a case and spend huge money on it

There last case was 7 million win plus court costs as well

When u read about that case u do not hear what was spent on court costs it is in the millions it is

There are only two possibilities, you are either:

      1. Brain washed american (no offence to the americans in general, there are enough bright people out there, as everywhere else :)

      2. You have absolutely no idea, how The Law works, and of course you have never heard about the fundamental difference between USA/UK and European Law!

Yeah, glider's total revenue was around 4-6M and iirc the owner was made to pay the full 6M back, not the staff or anything. he was legally held responsible.

If shit hits the fan, someone's gonna know about it.

I agree here he is taking a huge risk the higher he goes in court and ends up losing the more chance it will not be able to get out of it

Not only will he have his own court cost but blizzards

I have no idea where you guys are in the level of courts as such but it gets worse as you go higher to fight something

I have said this in the past and I am correct in saying it blizzard is bound by International Corporate laws this is why it took so long to take this company to court in the first place around the time blizzard dropped out 600 employees because of subs they feel that bots are the cause of it going by the survey you fill in after a Game Master ticket.

Most of my friends quit because of them I asked them this and asking the question why you quit it is because of bots not being able to make gold to raid as such or buying nice things

As for your Hearthstone bot that was a bad idea it will show to the court Bossland is trying to make money off another company's work and is greedy and not paying anything

This is why there are copyright laws you make huge money off another company and not pay them anything for there work that is breaking copyright laws... These laws are to protect you and blizzard it is simple as that

The lawyers blizzard is using they specialize in copyright laws they have been used by hp and many other company's out there even by Microsoft they are paid big money and they do win

Most of them did not start out as a lawyer some of them are rocket scientist or a engineer of some kind they make more money this way than what they used to do in the first place

That is the scary part they have brains all lawyers do but these guys are pro at what they do

Blizzard would of asked them if they have a case in the first place before taking you to court in the first place
