Don't know if it's allowed, but if we rewrote parts of the executable to allow temporary changes to things (since there is no plugin system) are we allowed to post a patcher here? Reasons I assume not - kind of a method to break the auth... (pretty easily at least.), but if not, just some of the features i've added:
      • Allows for mobile match checkups (only for android, don't have or care for iOS)
      • Gives option to have only a certain amount of games be played
      • Allows you to swap decks / choose one with a dropdown box
      • Reduces rendering massively (not a big feature since it's not intensive anyway, but thought it would be fun)

So am I allowed to post it or no? And if only one or so of the features isn't allowed, may I remove just that and still post as a temp addition?

If none of the above is allowed, is a third party version of the above allowed at least?

If still none of the above, since I haven't found it anywhere, is there any ETA on the public api?

      Thanks for reading.

      No, you're not.

      No.

      TBA.

      Technically this is copyright infringement.

... in no way was me doing this copyright infringement. I don't think you know what that means. I did not use it without copyright permission - I have it by owning it. I did not reproduce, distribute, nor was any form of piracy or theft caused. Nothing I did was copyright infringement. Hence, why I asked permission, BEFORE I did copyright infringement.

And are you a dev or a member?

I am a software engineer myself, but here, just a member. Anyway, i can tell you for sure, that only because you bought the software, doesn't mean you are allowed to modify it.

So if you take buddybots files/executables and modify them in any other way then intended through any given api, i understand this as not being allowed. This counts basically for any kind of executables that you are reversing/modifying, if they are under any kind of copyright.

Since you're obviously not educated in the legal system, I will say this. No copyright was affected, leave it at that, and I would much rather have a dev response and someone with authority, saying 'No you're not allowed to do something', doesn't mean I'm not actually allowed to. Also, that's the point of this - it was done without an api, and that part is kinda null.

You are simply not the first who wants to change (or already did) some stuff and i can tell you, it wouldn't be the first warning spoken out, nor the first thread being deleted. There are very strict rules when it comes to posting own developments. But you're right, a dev has to tell you better.

yes, hence why I asked BEFORE posting. I don't know, because most of their products (that I have used at least) have a plugin system, and since it hasn't been included yet, I want to know if this is allowed. The people that could whip up a recipe using my method could already ***** the software, and those that don't, well won't do it because they can't. There is near to no harm done in this, since I didn't even remove the protection.

I'd probably err on the safe side and keep any changes you've made to yourself for the mean time. When they want you to start developing and releasing additional functionality to the bot they will release the API and let you know.
