Are you aware that 2000 Euro are almost 3000 dollars?

I mean, a laptop to 1500 dollars is good, but a 3000 dollar laptop is very good. However 3000$ on a laptop is insanity. As a laptop looses its "value" too fast, no i don't mean about how much you could sell it for, but the components in a laptop are outdated within a few months. Where as you could buy a stationary PC for 3k which would perform very good for years to come.

I did this myself a few years back, and even now i regret using 2300~$ on that piece of s**t. It was a robust laptop for tops 3 months, then the retail price for it had already dropped by 25%, and after 6months it cost less then 50% of the price in stores. (Laptops are great when you get them from the firm where your working)

Another note, a laptop in this range is not a Laptop, its a movable stationary pc. Try sitting with a laptop like this on your lap, its not fun.

Yeap, laptops for anything else than surfing on internet etc low thing is so much waste of money. I bought also 700e laptop once few years ago and it played well almost a year but then it was just garbage compared to the new laptops or compared to 700e that time's desktops. Its really like 2k laptop would be fine for max 2 years but 2k desktop would do atleast double that. If you think its laptop for the easy moving etc. will you really need it to be easily moveable?

Edit: You can also upgrade a desktop pc when it gets laggy but with laptop, you just throw it away.

It is true that Alienware produces some very good laptops. But they are certainly NOT cheap. When you buy an AW, you pay at least 150 EUR for the brand.. If you're looking at the specs, you can find the same specs for a lower price a lot of ther places.
And Alienware comps are made by Dell - I would suggest you go there to find a laptop, as it will be cheaper.

Just got myself an Asus G73. This is what I would guess you are looking for. Paid $1200 at best buy and love it.

ASUS has some really good gaming notebooks. The one you linked from CompUSA is a good choice. I would avoid the Sony Vaio, only because the video card is not that good. Sony tends to be a little overpriced compared to other brands.

      Check out some of the below too;

Whatever you do, make sure you buy from a reputable seller. Check them out on http://www.resellerratings.com/ first if you need to. You can do some research and ask for more advice at http://forum.notebookreview.com/

      Good luck.

alienware M17x R2 is the way to go. i have 2 of them specs are as follow: I7 820qm , 8gb ddr 1333 , ati 5870 crossfirex , 1 ssd 256gb , 1 hhd 500gb , intel mimo wifi card, rgb screen, and a blueray burner. the best thing about dell or alienware is the warranty. if you get the extended warranty with the acidental dmg, you can use your laptop for 2 years and then break it. you say it fell and they'll send you a new unit. now with the new unit you can add the extended warranty once again and repeate the process later down the road. i recommend the m17x i have been able to run 8 vmware stations and still have 3 copies of wow running, so i can only imagine how many wows you can run.

if you do what i described above you will be spending your money only once , and for 4 o 5 hundred bucks every 3 years you will have the top of the line alienware machine. i think that is pretty nice option to have, and no other company can offer you that.

check this site for more info.

Why do you wants a laptop for botting? Laptops are designed to be mobile and light. Even the "gamer" models are essentially neutered hardware. The laptop i7 cpus do not compare to the desktop i7's at all. Also the amount of heat that laptops produce in that small space is really bad for the life of the product. They say most laptops don't last longer than 3 years. They are also not met to be run 10-16 Hours a day at full power.

unless you live in a college dorm room... get a desktop and save yourself lots of $

alienwares new line of laptops offer machined aluminium case standard. this means that the entire laptop is a heat disipating heatsink. i have not had a heating issue with heating on these units, and i probly will never have a heating issue.

CompUSA went out of business and is now just a retail outlet for tigerdirect.com.

If I'm looking for something fast and don't want to wait on shipping, I used to hit up the CompUSA when I lived in Florida as they actually carry motherboards, cases, etc...stuff that is in very limited supply at your local Best Buy.

For ordering online I use newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.

I have recognized that: Tigerdirect and compusa are exactly the same design and html template.
