What the hell is going on in here

 

Wired is pissed, hawker is webcamming morga, bossland is playing sc2, Raphus is causing everyone to get angry. I might have to ban myself.

This post caught my eye and I would like to explain my point of view on this. Only comment on my response if you are serious because I am.

This could economically hurt the Buddy community in several ways. Bossland and his fellow staff are interested in making some money off of this, and if its not giving enough to be worth while, the bot will probably cease to continue. Consider that the age group for this game is 14+ (while I hope we don't have 14 year olds on this forum), adults will play it less than people in their young years. The majority rule consists of the immature male from 16-27ish I would say from my knowledge. This group is most likely going to login only if they have a problem, only comment if they have a problem, not use the search bar, instantly make new topics about said problem, and then don't post a log and complain it won't work. The moderators simply can't enforce this system you are thinking of because they will easily get unhappy and move along to another bot.

Linking forum accounts to Auth accounts is a very bad idea. For example if the auth server is offline for a major patch or some other form of hacking the forum login system ceases to function like it should. Like Bossland said before, the people who want for us out of the botting picture don't DDoS the website because it would be of no help to them. If they did want our forum gone keep in mind it is vBulletin which is not hack proof! They could hack into our forum and manage to find our login info and cause serious damage and setbacks.

Use the ignore button for people you don't like, post with constructive criticism, and please if you have any freaking issue post a log.. We could have more of a enforced thread rules page but besides that i'm done talking.

EDIT: PS - If we locked release threads and got support sections it would help keep the forum a little more clean and I would feel in love with myself. And have some sort of way of tagging them as "resolved" when finished helping the person.

I hope Raphus does want this as a paid plugin so that the 70000 views can actually generate him some cash.

I have GB lifetime x5 and I have no problem paying for a plugin that I want / need, and I have the respect to post a log and wait for the creator to fix it or advise me on what to do.

@Raphus - If you quit IB, Nesox can easily make another one. Don't get ahead of yourself. The demand is too great and if you decide to keep it offline / cancel it all together, Nesox will reap the benefits by making a new one and probably a better one.

@ the trolls / flamers - stop spamming, go back to botting or do something with your life. This thread is stupid and could have easily been dealt with by a few PM's. Stop getting your panties in a bunch.

I think with a lot of people who have quit creating plugins/cc need to "when they get a stable version" lock it and do pay per. To keep it going. If they think it should be free but still want to support it or get paid some dimes for supporting it get paid for the support? simple enough?

I think anyone serious about using IB and providing feedback would have paid for it in its current state. Have only paid subs be able to report bugs. Maybe make a 15 min/1 dungeon demo? NO SUPPORT! for it. Problem fixed? Same goes for all the other work. Hell if u want it free charge 5 bucks and reimburse it

I dont know i have a serious feeling a lot of the people trolling/causing issues are 13 yr olds with mommies credit card the other half are grown ups who never grew up or have too short a patience to deal with signing up and all the other jazz you could do to prevent non serious users.

 

IB works great for the instances that it supports ... except for a bug that I found with paladin healing...but that may be the way that I did things ...

 

I think all mods should be required to wear leather loin cloths, ya know give em that sparta look!

I saw this (or at least something similar) happening weeks ago when code was implemented to screw with cracked HB versions, and even that didn't work right and had a negative effect on real customers (which I also saw coming)

 

Excuse me? I don't use Raphus plugin. I already knew he was doing shady stuff as I've seen him slip and discuss it. And who are you to personally attack me when it has nothing to do with you, Mr I go post three words in every single thread made to raise my post count. Talk about trolling and being a punk. Oh and you might wanna go look and see who codes several plugins, a public CC, and a private CC. What do you do? Oh yeah thats right. Troll every thread for post counts. Oh yeah, and post rewritten versions of guides of gold selling I've seen on other sites.
