Without a log (see in my signature how to zip and attach a complete log file) I can't really say what's going wrong, or even help. But I will venture a guess and say that you might be changing specs without closing Honorbuddy completely and opening it back up. Anytime you change from one spec to another, you MUST close and reopen (otherwise known as restarting) Honorbuddy. It needs to initialize the spellbook for the spec you are in when it starts up. It can't do that when you change specs without restarting the bot. If that doesn't help you, then please post a complete log file to your next post so that we can assist you better.
Hmm... something is wrong then because it is already enabled. I'll do it some more this morning and post a log if it keeps happening.
Yeah go for it. Make sure "suspend movement" is disabled too. It'll attempt to move within 40 yards range of the target, and then attack. 35 yards if you aren't already in combat (to prevent the unit moving away before we get the cast off).
Didn't even know there was one till now will try if I have time before mainraid starts (Destrolock ftw )
Not managing potent flames, never seen five stacks of it so far we want 5 stacks all the time even if that mean missing a high value combustion. opening sequence is wrong a basic one that works is invocation, mirror image, haste pot, pyroblast x4, altertime, pyroblast x2, combustion. it's basic but gets the dob done most of the time. I was using reforged crit, haste 14100,mastery,haste. It seems to be not letting alter time run full duration in some cases cancelling it next gcd
The opening sequence is following this; Fire Mage DPS Rotation, Cooldowns, and Abilities (WoW MoP 5.4) - Icy Veins It'll only cast Pyroblast when we have both "Pyroblast!" and "Heating Up" auras. Potent Flames is just passive, you wouldn't hard cast a Pyroblast just to keep that up, would you ? Will need a log for the alter time stuff. Cheers for the feedback so far
Umms yea the whole point fire atm is to abuse potent flames. I really suggest you have a look on methodwow fire mage guide. Also just wondering because I was asked by another player but cant remember, on the frost rotation when moving will it cast ice lance? Just asking because he is mastery spec and is cursing because ice lance is being cast on the move or is there a way to turn that off? cheers bud
A question. Everytime i move out of rune of power it re-cast rune of power even if ur in range of it. Is there any way to prevent this?
might sound like a joke but run back in or it will recast on your new patch even if you are within the outer rings
This: MoP Fire Mage Guide ?? The first post doesn't mention Potent Flames at all. Didn't go digging through the thread. Yeah it'll ice lance while moving. Why would you want to disable/stop that? Just means it'll consume any stored up icicle charges - but it doesn't affect the amount of damage those charges would do. It's checking for the Rune of Power aura (Rune of Power - Spell - World of Warcraft) If the aura isn't present, or RoP is about to fade, then it'll re-cast. The very outer rings mustn't provide the buff (in which case you would want to re-cast it).
Yea it's in there somewhere m8, but agreed finding info on fire is a pain in the arse. As for the icicle some guys who are heavy mastery will only want it cast on a proc even while moving as the passive damage from it out weighs anything you get from casting ice lance.
Passive damage from icicles? There isn't any passive damage from them? It's always better to cast Ice Lance when moving I believe. Will have a search through the thread tomorrow.
The original PTR design caused them to double dip on Resil. This no longer happens. A 100k cast will only hit for 28k (Assuming 72% resil), however your Icicle will be based off of the unmodified value. So if you have, say, 30% Mastery, Your 100k cast will hit for 28k and generate an Icicle for 30k that will hit for 8.4k against that same target later on. You can build up to 5 charges. If you generate a 6th, the oldest will automatically be launched at your current target, ensuring that none are wasted. Taken from a post.
Weird, there's nothing obvious in the log files. Have you tried reverting the SVN to a previous version to see if it works? Normally I'd just say reload honorbuddy, but sounds like you've already done that. To be perfectly honest, I don't think Honorbuddy even has the API to track icicle charges. Only way around that would be using lua, however that would slow the routine down massively. With Ice Floes it's not going to get many Ice Lance casts off anyway though - and that's what most frost mages are taking. Regardless of whether the icicles are used with 1 charge or 5 charges, it would still dish out the same amount of respective damage (i.e. 1 charge = 10k, 5 charges = 50k). It's better off casting those extra ice lance's for the few thousand damage as opposed to not doing any damage.
As I said before I am asking for another member I play with, but you are making assumptions about ice lance with regards to icicle generation and that casting ice lance on cooldown is better than the 6th icicle being cast while moving, His raiding logs show different against another mage with near enough same ilvl he is always beaten. The other mage is not a botter and pretty shabby player tbh but with mastery spec it's playing to his advantage. You dont need HB to check for it just add a option for turning ice lance off while moving might be a idea? I'm gonna take the dust off my mage and test out high mastery build and see what he is talking about as tbh I want to see for myself playing manually. EDIT: Just run some lfr's in heavy mastery spec, 37.58 haste, 94.38% mastery and 32% crit and there does indeed seem to be some issue with casting ice lance in cool down while moving about 3% lost icicle damage with ice lance increasing by 1.4% so casting ice lance on proc while moving is all you want to do in that setup. All in all it's about 1.5~3.0% loss.
