I personally bot 24 hours a day seven days a week when levelling a new character, I have half a dozen characters in the 60 to 70 bracket that had been Botting 24/7 since level 1.

I don't recommend this as you have a considerably higher chance of getting banned. You should be sensible about it and either limit the hours you bot or moved to different locations.

For me this depends on area population, at low levels on my server i never see anyone because the server as a whole has quite a low population, with my gather toon do no more than 8-10 hours.

I bot constantly, whenever i'm awake and when i go to bed. Basically 24/7. Its... Well.. Basically its just as safe to bot 24/7 as it is to bot only 6 hours a day. It all depends on where you bot, how you bot, and the server and population of the area you bot in.

Blizzard don't roam around the server looking for people thats been online for 30 hours straight. Just make sure you get few to no reports. Usually blizzard don't drop whatever they got in their hands because 1-5 people reported someone for botting.

I myself has catched a few reports. I still bot constantly and haven't ever received suspensions/gm whispers.

It all depends on the botter..

Well said Znyx, it really depends on the botter.

I've had my share of bans, and i developed a really good sense for botting because of it.

But one thing that smacked me in my face really hard was that you never ever ever ever ever bot on an account that you actually care for!
I lost my beloved 60 epic warrior pre-tbc and i got really crushed... been really careful since then, but still gotten caught from time to time >.<

But now i don't care as much for this game, so i let it run during those "work hours & night" when ppl aren't playing wow. And BAM! i havn't been banned for 2 years ^^

Well yeah.. Just as you said LAP. Everyone that buys a bot, should know that dont ever use this on something you can't efford/wan't to loose.

But safe botting is really common sense, atleast it was for me. I started botting about 2 weeks ago. I bot during peak hours when i'm at the PC in case i am in some usually crowded area.

I leave only the bot unattended during the nights, and early mornings on weekdays where people work/school.

I personally do 10ish hours a day but back in the glider days when I botted more characters I would do 24hours a day. To be honest 12 hours a day won't get you flagged etc. So many legit players play that much a day so they can't flag you for that =)

Oh and I don't use eSafe (yes yes I know I made it). I'm personally too lazy - rather get banned then have to restart it.

Nope, not using eSafe.. I found it too annoying :p
It's probably a perfect plugin for those extremely careful paranoid ppl ^^

Been botting since WoW were in beta but basically quited when OpenBot was trapped as no other bots amused me. Botted countless chars and been through more ban waves then i can ever imagine, lost 1 account when OpenBot (isx wow) was caught.

I do a mix of 24/7, 12/7, 18/7. I rarely ever get any tells. (low pop server)

I'm about the same.. Started with glider and hated it.. switched to openbot and used that untill it was shut down.. didnt touch another bot after that untill HB came out. I hated the way all the other bots worked.

doing good now, took 5x toons from 61 to 71-72 in a week. I never afk bot unless its a shower, never while im asleep.

    19. I'm in an hight pop server, very very hight pop server, so I really donno how much I can bot. The char I'm botting atm is on my main account so I really don't want to be banned. Is it safer for me to open a new account and transfer my pg there for the botting then transfer back him to mine or it'll be useless cause the accounts will be shared?
I was botting on my Mac with PocketGnome, but now that I found HB (much better for the meshes) I'm trying to edit some classes to make it better human like and I've installed BugMeNot to avoid wispers, duels and party inv. Atm I'm botting only when I can constantly watch my pc to avoid better wispers etc. but doing it I waste all time watching it and can't play with my main (that I must play for my guild's progress).
So, what can I do? Better to tranfer? Blizz can cancel my other accounts too if they find me botting?

      Thx

I bot betwen 8-12 hours a day because I need to use my computer for other stuff and turn of the bot during that time, when I dont need to computer myself I 24/7 bot, I recently transferd to a very low pop server and theres no people anywhere but the faction citys and dalaran.

Only way to get banned right now is by report but I wouldent worry about it, I got griefed by lvl 80's 3 times on my last server and nothing has happend yet. The 80's where mob taging me on 3 different occasions and I wasent at the keyboard until they done it for about 5 minutes on all occations :p But I dont think they reported me and im still botting.
