Hi lads. I have been very aware that I would probably get banned on my account new battlechest+mop account, if I were continuing to bot 15 hours daily like I did. I would farm sky crystals and pickpocket, with close to no breaks inbetween. Knowing that it was stupid, I botted relentlessly anyway and this morning a permanent ban came in. I have heard that multiple people have experienced getting their ban lifted and received a 72h one instead. Am I possibly in the group where I could get the same treatment? And if so, how is my best chance? Ive searched around the forums, but found no clear answers. I hope you can help me out here! Great day, Teb
In the Skyshard area a lot of people bot atm. and report each other. Botting there for a long time without a break was a very bad idea.
To appeal, just use the ticket support system and plead ignorance saying you didn't realise you did anything wrong and could it be overturned. If you've not had a ban before, simply say that you've done nothing wrong knowingly and could it be reconsidered. If you've been suspended before you have zero chance. Some people write whole essays and come out with all sorts of excuses, personally I don't think this has an benefit and you just spend time wondering what to write. I don't bother any more, if I'm banned I shoot off a few lines saying please reconsider and if it works it works. If not, fire up another account and start again.
The only advice I could offer would be to use the aforementioned ticket system to appeal, and try to present yourself as a person...if that makes sense. I feel like a vast majority of appeals are pleading total ignorance or simply denying any wrongdoing. Lets be real, if you sit for 15 hours a day farming skyshards...there is no chance for either of those to work. What I was able to do was have my permabans commuted to 72-hour bans by admitting a degree of culpability but highlighting some confusion with the EULA itself. I referenced the fact that the use of third-party implements was a bannable offense, as evidenced by my suspended account, but then commented that I was somewhat misled by the addition of an 'addon' button on the login page and the all-but-endorsed community built around Curse Gaming. The line was a blurry one between the optimization of my account through legit and illegitimate means and I asked for clarity and clemency. I have had 6 accounts banned and so far have been met with 100% success in having them restored. Knock on wood. But word to the wise: even if you have accepted the fact that you will one day be banned, don't flaunt it by spending inhuman hours in the most popular areas for people that want to report bots. EDIT: first post, so take this with a grain of salt
Just be honest. I was slammed with a ***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION*** just a few hours ago. I told the truth and admitted I was botting. I also told them that I didnt read the Warcraft Terms of Use and EULA without begging or making up silly stories. The first reply back I got, they said they were not going to change there stance on my account ban and everyone accepts the Terms of Use and EULA before logging into the game. I replied back by argueing that just because they accept it doesn't mean they read it, I just accepted because I wanted to play and BAM! I got a reply back saying that they have changed it from perma ban to a 72 hour ban. Hope this helps and good luck.
