Hey everyone i am planning to bot for a living. I will buy 4 battlechests + MOP and level 4 rogues, buy a good pickpocket profile aprox 700gph which makes roughly 3kph. Ill bot 8-10hrs a day. Do you guys have any idea to make it more human like and can someone teach or link a topic where it shows how to use ***? Whats the best way of profiting 4 accounts? And where can i buy battlechest for 2.5 pounds?
I'm trying to make sense of your new career. You are going to bot 4 accounts 10 hours a day at 3000 gold per hour, so 30,000 gold per day at 7 days a week is 210,000 gold per week. The last search I pulled up showed gold selling at 30 cents per 1,000. I didn't check the pound or euro rates. That comes out to $63 per week, or $252 per month. Subtract your $60 in subscription fees and you are making $192/month. Did I miss something or are you really planning on making botting "a living" at $192/month?
You also have to take in the cost of running your machines, random bans that WILL occur, cost of maintenance, the time taken to supervise, opportunity cost, losses from bans, and other inconveniences like bot holdups. Take that all into account before taking your step. You will barely break even unless you already have a setup and don't have to invest anymore time or money into it. You have to go 10-30 accounts to make good money, and pickpocketing is not good enough unless you're botting 24/7. Your best bet honestly is to make 30+ suicide accounts that gather/shuffle/pp 24/7 and dump your stock before they get banned. And even then the money is nowhere near a regular job. But hell, you can spend all day in your underwear doing jack shit.
Well lets not call it for a living just to have pocket money at summer vacation. What would be the best way to make use of 4 accounts?
I say more power to you. I'm not going to ask how old you are.. but if your just looking for pocket money.. go for it. Best way to make gold with 4 accounts? Maybe run Black Temple like all the other farmers You can make some pretty good gold there. You could also send them out to farm pets. Rare pets sell for a LOT of money. Herb/mine old content because people will always need mats to level professions. Last but not least.. try and sell PRIVATE. You'll get better money that way. DX123
I guess if you want to try to make a living .. get rdy for plenty of setbacks and just keep expanding I'd say..
8 hours a day with no other activity on this account is same as 24 hours a day. So just hope they will live long enough. 4 accounts is too few even for newly released popular games. (Diablo 3 required at least 10-15 accs at start -- $1k-3k per month in RU region). Old games need a lot more so you have to spend on soft + accounts + leveling chars + finding good way to farm. If you'll be banned too early it's a big fail. My advice to find some offline job at summer. If it is your first job you'll get "job looking" experience You'll better first find an offline job and then start botting in free time Just to compare. If you don't really have to work now and want just try botting for money, feel free to try Do not wait for too long before selling gold Ban is always unexpected and you'll lose all you farmed If you know how to farm and sell, botting allows to live for some time, but my advice to focus on offline -- much more stable and gives much more experience.
Black Temple? You sir are very well informed.. Thats patches since like .. 1 month.. I dont know. Same with most other good spots like Sra'Vess for Rogues where all mobs got no pockets after the hotfix some weeks ago..
I believe it depends on server. On my server any herbs/ore is hard to sell these days that is if they come in significant amounts. Shuffling is even less profitable, JC is totally worthless - uncut gems are far easier to sell, but prospecting doesn't make any sense as price of gems is +/- on par with price of ore. Inscription is little better - i can sell few less common glyphs in a lucky day, same goes with enchanting. Prices for elixirs/potions are almost the same as prices for reagents. Transmuting - same thing. Trillium bars only sell when their price drops to the price of equivalent amount GIO bars. Otherwise they just stay on AH forever. Living steel actually sells cheaper than the cost of trillium bars, which are required to make them. So alchemy goes in the trash as well. I wish i could have saved all the time i have wasted to level shuffling profs and just suicide farm dungeons 24/7 (yes, i was dumb enough to read and listen to obsolete "gold making guides", which probably were true when MoP was released). And this is the situation on a high pop EU server. It seems like there's almost no new players at all and active players, who are still in the game already have alts with shuffling professions or just use guild for that. Almost nobody is willing to pay the "added value" for shuffled stuff. And if they do it's incredibly low amount with very low "spread" between cost of reagents/mats and the shuffled item. Maybe on US servers it's easier to make money. Here the "profit" from botting for me equals to electricity cost + game time cards.
Black Temple? Hows this still possible / profitable? I'm currently making ~10k+ A day per 85 toon, which seems to be about right.
If u really want to make a living out of that, go ahead and get a new computer. Run only bots on that one and move to hungary where u can live a great life with 600euro.
Easy 500k a day flipping items, botting is a terrible way to make gold unless you have tons of accounts. Just learn the economy before even trying this.
