yeah, i'm having the same issue.. set it up to quest and it started going like normal i go get a drink and come back and it's closed and my guy just sitting there.. tried a couple more times.. same thing.. EDIT just noticed this was in hearthbuddy and now honorbuddy.. but it seemed to be all of the buddies..
remove: - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile - microsoft .net framework 4 extended - microsoft .net framework 4.5.1 - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable restart your pc, download the installationwizard from here run it as administrator. after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++ restart

I removed microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable then ran the installation wizard and it's asking me to re download and re install it…?
I'm using windows 8.1 I found a cleanup utility and the only option for uninstallation is "all versions (windows 8)" should I go ahead and uninstall that? that'll leave my pc with no remaining net framework though. also I ran hearth buddy with the changes and it still crashes - bot only, game remains
