1. How safe is it to bot on a different account from your main account but using the same battle.net? (so you can use heirlooms ect) 2. I've read that LCP detection is a big reason why so many people get banned using GB2 ect. Will using questing profiles (such as kicks) make it very difficult for Blizzard to detect that you are botting? Since you aren't farming/running around in the same loop repeatedly. 3. Does LCP detection work in dungeon instances? All advice is appreciated, thanks guys.
1. If the botting account is caught and banned, there is a chance they will ban the main too if there's any item or gold link between them, e.g. you make money with the bot and send it to your main. Otherwise it's probably safe, but of course never 100% safe, especially if the ban reason is abuse of the economy. 2. It's very rare to get banned for questing, unless you leave it unattended and several people witness the bot running in circles or headbutting the same fence for hours, and report you. 3. Probably not, people are running 5-man dungeon bot teams that tend to follow the tank in the exact same path and they almost never get banned. But dungeon bots are very obvious, there's a high chance people will report you if you bot instances with strangers.
Yeah I think Botanist said that Blizzard probably can't use LCP detection in instances, but I've seen quite a few people on here report about being banned for botting when doing multiple hours of dungeon runs back to back. Is that just because people in their guild/friends list or w/e reported them?
I think I saw a few threads on MMO-champ or wow forums about people complaining about bots in Botanica/BT/Drak/HoL/etc and urging other members to do a /who on those places, then reporting the high levels there that spent lots of time and don't whisper back or something like that. Some people still do nowadays sadly. I don't know why people are complaining, I can understand about how disruptive BG bots or mining/herbalism/skinning bots can be but people who bot for pure gold from trash drops in instances don't really hurt anyone else, at least not directly =/.
