Hello, I was thinking about getting me a second Account to bot on then Sending the farmed Mats to my Main Account on which I also play active, to make Gold out of them through Professions. My Question now is if I get a ban, will they only ban the Account where I botted on or will they also ban my Main Account?[PERCENTAGE][/PERCENTAGE] Thanks in advance ~Ceyax
Many people do this (including myself). The only major risk you face is an autoban from overfarming, but your main toon shouldn't be affected by this. People have had mixed results with mailing mats, but if you're only farming on one account you should be alright. Naturally there's always a risk, though.
I'd just like to point out that I got my main banned for the exact same thing. What I did was pickpocket on a rogue and for every 1k gold i made, I put it into the guild bank. Every few hours or so I'd withdraw on my main whatever that was put into by my botting account. The guild is an active guild with over 500+ members. Thing is my main was an officer in the guild as well. Just sharing my experience. Currently awaiting an unban. It's been 8 letters and 5 days now. Blizzard has said they won't look into any more appeals. My main account has 2 toons over 580. 1 toon at 578. other 3 at 568 - 574. Yes it sucks.
I've had pretty good luck with them only banning the botting accounts. I did eventually lose my main non botting account though, they got tired of me selling gold and just wiped out everything. But i got away with it for a few years, so it wasn't exactly unexpected. 2 cents etc..
