Hi, I checked a payforum (was only a buck for a days access) and found this: I don't really understand it all but is this possible? Atm i'm using RAF. A invited B, but both are fresh chars at there 20's now. What is your approach on using RAF to get 80's asap?
Yes its possible. The fastest way to 60 for the first 2x2 chars is getting instance-boosted by a level 80. My boosting-record is 11hrs 15 to 60. Any my 1-80 record by handleveling is 1day 23hr 18min (i guess ill find a screenshot if someone wants one) by granting 60 levels and then questing.
Raf only goes to 60, so it takes me like ~1 week to RaF to 60 due to school and other factors, 60-70 takes like 3 days but 70-80 takes me the longest at ~5-6 days.
Is that with a DK? I've used a 6k mage and I can do around the same, but its extremely fast in the lower dungeons, but a tad bit slower in stratholme as I can only pull a few set of mobs before I die... i remember a long time ago i used to log off the 6k mage and get the 5k gs ret pally out and pull a ton of mobs and sit there and lawler-storm them down. then i borrowed a buddy's failknight for it and it worked out even better
Nah I've used a middle geared (5.2kgs) Protpally all the way. Before 4.0.1 it was just totally faceroll with Retribution-Aura and Consecration spam. My route for horde was/is: 1-8 Grinding/Questing 8-15 RFC 15-20 SFK 20-40 Armory and Cathedral in SM (All 4 instances share the resettimer. So you can run Armory & Cathedral and it counts as only 1 run) 40-45 ZF 45-55 Scholo 55-60 Bloodfurnace (ithink, the first tbc instance)
I did 1-60 in something like 9 hours once, On my warlock I dont have a screenshot of that but i have one of me making it to 70 in 1 day 3 hours. And a DK to 70 in 13 Hours. I did 58-70 whilst sleeping aswell.
1-60 is prolly around 7-8 hours /played if u log out each time u reach instance limit, in practice its around 15-17 hours at comp (around 15-16 instance lockouts). What i do myself: 1~11 slay X of Y questing, 10-20 SFK (kill everything till wolf boss, move out of tower and walk down to exit through roof) 20-40 Scarlet Monsatery (go to the end and pull mobs backwards to entrance, Cath->Armory->reset->Armory->Cath->reset->...) 40~47 Blackrock Depths (you can enter BRD at 40 level, starting through left locked doors, killing golem and following path till shadowforge lock, out and reset, can also kill ~48lvl mobs reachable without keys if u're below ~44) ~45~51 Scholomance (you can enter at 45 level, similar tactic to SM, leave alts, jump off first bridge and start clearing backwards) ~50-55(60) Stratholme (preferably baron run w/o slaughterhouse, but its so fast that u might want clear most living side to not reach instance lock) At this point i prefer to level up desired number of chars to 55 level and then activate TBC trial and 55-60 in Hellfire Ramparts. Tips: - BRD is only instance u need to keep following with alts, - in SFK/SM/Scholo you just leave them at entrance, they will have range on everything u would clear, - Stratholme Undead side - leave alts in between 2nd and 3rd gates, they will have exp range for everything except slaughterhouse event, - Stratholme Living side - leave alts just before fork and do NOT kill Balanar or he will spawn mass skeletons and pwn ur alts - ZF is probably slower (and way more annoying for sure) than BRD I prefer "lazy mode" in 40+ instances, i choose fastest exp with least effort (golem->shadowforge lock and out, strat quick undead side clear without slaughterhouse event or living side) and watch tv series while waiting for lifting limit.
This has been around for MMOwned since RaF came out, even with guides on what instances to do, paths, et cetera. Just search for it. But thx for contributing, probably someone who didn't know this (that person might be living under a rock)
Alliance: I did (with RAF of course) 1-10 quest / kills 10-20 deadmines (stockades at 15 doesn't get you enough xp / hour due to the 5 instances per hour lockout) 20-40 SM (armory + cath, then reset) 40-45 BRD (ent, both wings on lower floor, upstairs and to FF, then to Giant dude on lower floor, then reset) 45-55 Strath (back door --> live side then reset at backdoor again) 55-60 Ramps
