Would you play without HB?

I've been skimming through random forums and what not and I've come across a lot of different stuff. I'm actually quite curious who all feels the same way as me. I tend to only find enjoyment out of this game BECAUSE of HB, if it were not for HB I wouldn't even want to play. I can get shit done without having to sit there and suck through some bullshit grind.

So, Do you only play because of the bot?
Or
Do you enjoy the game with and without the bot?

 

i only play to bot, after 9 years this game is just......

 

I play manually in the beginning of every expansion, after that it gets too boring and I slowly start implementing HB until there is no manual play.

 

I think I speak for most of us when I say I only play the game because of HonorBuddy.

Because of the recent Warden scares, I find myself offline most of the time, compared to when HB is up. I'm just not the gamer I used to be and find HonorBuddy to be a lifesaver when it comes to WoW. Work is about to start back up, so I won't have so much time to play like I did during the summer break (I'm a teacher). I just don't find any enjoyment in focusing on what skills/abilities I need to use at what time, when I can have the bot do that for me, while I just focus on keeping my butt out of places I shouldn't be. I can focus alot more on work when the game is being played for me and I can enjoy the nitty gritty of the game when I have free time.

TL;DR
I only play because of the bot.

EDIT: If there is a Blizzard employee on this forum, I hope they see this thread's poll. If anything, HB is generating more customers for them! Hah.

I kind of hate to say this, but I kind of don't give a damn if I egt banned, Atleast I know I won't pick it back up. Just gives me a reason to stop playing(Finally)

 

If the bot didn't exist I wouldn't be playing anymore. As others have mentioned I just don't enjoy manually playing as I used to in previous expansions. That being said I also enjoy raiding with several people in my current guild so if it wasn't for that bot or not bot I probably would have cancelled my sub awhile ago anyway.

I was just thinking the same thing. I bot on my main [and only] account, so I know I'm risking everything by botting on it. If I do get banned, I'm sure my girlfriend will be happy and I can focus on other things in life.

when i raid (i dont atm) i do without the bot, i cant gear my toon grind or anything like that legit

 

Yeah I feel the same way, with school starting at the end of August, I kind of hope for it in a weird way. Plus, I've been hearing people say WoD(Beta realm or whatever) sucks ass. Not sure if true or not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

 

Like a couple of others, played this game for way too long that botting is the only thing that keeps me interested. If I get banned or the bot is no more then I will be upset for a day or two then move onto something else that takes my interest outside of wow.

 

this thread is sad. but this is the generation of guys playing todays faux-mmo's.

with that said, your on a botting forum and you asked this question - wth did you expect the general consensus to be? lol

I wish bots never came to be anywhere. Their would be alot less of you guys and that alone is a good thing (nothing personal - i dont mean YOU guys)

with bots came RMT - with RMT came more bots and so on and so forth. Then again it all began with wow and instancing and instant travel and auction houses and... now we're getting into another discussion all together.

 

I mainly use HB for lazyraider. I'm trying to play right now and it's just not as fun having to worry about rotations and shit spending more time looking at the damn skill bar than what's going on :/ Guess i'll go play something else for the time being. Sub runs out in a few days and have been trying to decide if I want to renew it or not till WoD comes out...

 

Blizz removed the skill from the game that made it challenging around WoTLK, it went casual friendly and gear became too easy to gain, reforging took any effort out of getting optimal gear there is no sense of achievement anymore ...HB just takes the monotony out of the initial grind, without it 90 lvls of grinding the same quests and running LFR or doing timeless dailies until your raid ready seems a bit pointless (I still go manual in arena as I feel thats the only way to feel accomplished), I have leveled over 20 toons to 90 by hand and the last account load through HB, I wont bother doing anymore if HB is no longer viable.

 

I feel that honorbuddy is best used to supplement my gaming experience in wow. If Honorbuddy was no longer around I would still be playing the same.

 

I don't manually play any more apart from a routine and lazyraider if that counts and i run the bot stupid hours like 06:00 till 02:00.I have done this for ages, I only have 1 account that i`ve had from release.
The only thing that could break me away from this game is a ban, I use the bot kind of hoping I do get banned but i believe it will never happen due to the fact I spend too much money on the game, I faction swap & realm transfer alot just to try and find new people that may ignite my passion for playing this game manually again

 

Fualk no I wouldn't I triple box and seriously I would never have resubbed if I didn't have the bot purchased for life.

 

Such negative feelings. You seem upset that Blizzard is doing what they are paid for. Some people feel like they should be entitled to being able to bot without any fear of a ban. Realize that you are the one cheating. You are the one in the wrong and not Blizzard. It is we who cheat....

 

I believe I am safe in saying that somewhere between 80% and 100% won't.....many use the bot for making money and if that were not there that's a LARGE....HUMONGOUS chunk of the HG members.....Many of the others rely so much on the bot to keep their in game financial health solid that without it they would probably all go broke.....many of the others are just REALLY REALLY bored with content and would stay for about a week to a month then lose interest. and then there are those....maybe 5% to 10% who might stay on....

As for me.....no. I would not and this might be an underlying reason why Blizz has not dropped the big one on us as they realise they will lose a tremendous amount of sub during a time (last 3 years) when their subscriptions have been in a steady freefall (12mil to 7.6mil).
