That is because those are old settings files and it is preventing them from loading them as they are old and will break the routine. Delete your Oracle 2 setting folder and let the defaults load in. All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
First, to address the refund, you will never be able to get Oracle 2 again since you refunded it. That's how the store works. Once you refund a product, you cannot purchase it again. I'm not sure if that's permanent, or if you have to go through the store support team to have them lift the restriction, but either way you can't get it again as far as I know. Second, I would like to address both of your statements saying it doesn't work. I use O2 on my Holy Paladin, Restoration Shaman, and Disc Priest. I haven't tried it on my Restoration Druid yet, and I'm not fond of Holy Priest, so I can't say I've tested it on "every" healing class. Currently, my best geared healer is my shaman, and it performs miracles with the "Out of the Box" defaults. I outheal practically everyone on the charts except for those that outgear me by at least 50 ilvl points (not saying this happens every raid, but all the ones I've been in I've been at least 50 ilvl points below the healers that have beaten me). My HPally and Disc priest are very undergeared, so it doesn't work so well simply because I OOM too frequently. Not O2's fault at all. It's my fault for not being geared enough. O2 is meant for high gear levels, but sometimes people create options that are fit for "lowbie" geared players. My disc priest was outhealing (and OOMing extremely quickly) during raid fights, but that's the thing, it was working fine. You have to spend more than a few seconds setting it up if you want it to perform at it's optimal best. The defaults just give you a place to start (they work the best for me since I'm not heroically geared on any of my toons). Benny is in heroic gear, and I'm sure even though he says the defaults work for him, that he takes his time to set up the routine to work as best as he wants it to. Also, I haven't done proving grounds, so I can't really attest to it working there or not. I know wulf said that there was a major bug causing it not to work in proving grounds, so I've had no urge to want to use it there yet. I will give it a try once he's gotten the PG bugs worked out though. All in all, you have to spend time with O2, you have to "test" it, report issues you have with it, customize it to make it your own.
I'm becoming a big fan on all the Kingwow products as well, but when I had Oracle I working for a while I'll also confirm it performed very well. I cannot agree with the 50 ilvl part though the way Wow scales now. The scaling is ridiculous past 550, so unless you're comparing T14 raids that the decent players are barely looking at the screen and we're talking 470 ilvl guys who just dinged vs 520 guys, NO ONE outperforms another even mediocre player 50 ilvl's higher of any class or any spec. it is literally impossible to do. i'm not just pulling this crap out cuz i've only recently started raiding but am now 14/14 on almost every class thanks to the power of HB. i've seen first hand how scaling works, and the only way you outperform 50 ilvl differences is against an AFK player. These CR's are amazing, and i'm giving them full credit, but this is not what you want users to expect or they will be sorely disappointed.
No of course you did not. I was only trying to explain that I don't have the knowledge to setup O2 (and some others seem to have the same problem). Maybe I'm spoiled by the Tuan slider thingy that can be adjusted easily infight But don't get me wrong. I don't regret buying O2 at all.
My shaman is currently 513 ilvl, and I was outhealing a holy pally that was 565 ilvl (I looked them up on the armory as I always look up other players to see what type of gear they have), and I was also outhealing another shaman that was 561 ilvl, and I was just barely outhealing a priest that was roughly 555-560 ilvl (can't remember anymore). Now, maybe they were just spamming one heal, or weren't playing, or were just bored. Whatever. I just know on Recount the "Healing Done" by me was more than the other healers that outgeared me by quite a margin. The HPS, however, was a different story. I always had more "healing done" than "HPS" than the other healers.
So you want to adress our statements about disc and then you present how great it is for Shamans. Your priest goes OOM mostly because there are times in almost every encounter where casting Smite/POM only wastes mana as the shields fall off without preventing any damage, this is very obvious on Garrosh HC If you watch Divinity vs Garrosh HC(solo healed by Anabella, one of the best Discs) there are times where you don't cast POM because the only person dying is the tank and there are times where Smite is useless too. I solo heal Garrosh at 580 with just 9k spirit and i can only do it because i pause the routine at those moments. Non-stop atonement requires around 13k Spirit i think. Since i've already bought it i will try to give more meaningful feedback next raid week. If their HPS was higher then it means they had lower activity time during the fight which means they were mostly afk. I'm saying this because Skada and Recount show eDPS and eHPS, not Healing Done/time.
sorry to say that, but LFR is not the best medium to compare. Most "good" equipped Healers that aren't using any sort of bot are brain afk. it's not that hard to beat such players. For me O2 and its dynamic spellcasting is not that good in HC progress. Of course there migth be and are some non-optimal settings for me, but my Pala really struggles in healing beacuse of non aggressive healing (lack of "dumb" healing). i really would like to see a more aggressive setting.
Yes, I was speaking more about my shaman than disc priests, but only because my shaman is the best geared healer I have. I've used my disc priest as I'm trying to get it geared, but as I said earlier it OOMs entirely too quickly. I'm always pausing and unpausing the routine because I run with Continuous Healing Mode on in Tyrael simply because HB, for some reason, is too slow to pick up on when I enter combat. My disc priest is only around 480-490 ilvl, and that gear is a mixture of shadow/disc gear since I'm in the process of converting her from DPS to healer. The healing was very good output though, even with my bad gear. I wasn't trying to disparage or belittle anyone with my post. I was just trying to show that O2 is worth using. You sometimes just have to spend a little extra time on getting it set up to work how you want it to because sometimes those "Out of the Box" options just aren't what you need. I was just showing my O2 support. I'm pretty sure most of the users of O2 are in normal and heroic content anyway, while I use it for LFR and Flex, so my needs are vastly different from those in higher tier content. You also just have to give feedback about what's wrong with it, give information on where it needs to improve, and wulf will do it as soon as he can. That's all.
So far have used O2 on high ilvl monk and shaman with no problems. On my low ilvl Paladin it doesn't do anything. Log File: View attachment 8348 2014-09-15 12.42.txt
Wulf -- Not sure if there's anything you can do about it personally, so I'm also going to send an email to the buddy support team, but what this concerns is the fact that at the time I purchased O2 from the store it started showing TWO purchases. So, I sent the buddy team a ticket about it and they said they would set one of the purchases as a refund. That was all well and good since no actual refund took place, but it just got rid of one of the "purchases" on my buddy store account. I've been using O2 since then with no issues. Now, today, when I try to load it up to play with my resto druid I no longer have O2. I look at the store and the only two instances of O2 that are showing are the "refunded" one the buddy team set as a refund, and the trial version that has expired. I have no clue what's happened to my working copy that I purchased, but I never actually requested a refund for any product I've purchased. That was just the "fix" that the buddy team used in regards to the showing of a double purchase of O2. Edit: After checking the buddy store it seems that that is exactly what has happened. Because the buddy team set one of the purchases to 'Refunded' as their fix to the double purchase, it has now caused the removal of the purchased routine. So, until they can get it resolved, I'm out of an Oracle II routine.
Thanks Zeldrak, There's not allot I can do but I have asked what can be done about this to the HB staff. Ill let you know ASAP.
Thanks. I was REALLY enjoying using this routine. Was making healing a lot more fun. Now I'm just stuck with DPS at the moment. I hate the DPS queues on my realm, they take in excess of 45+ minutes. Bleh!
@smartie, @biGGer and anyone else that feels the need to Post without a log file or any form of constructive criticism. 1) Describe your Problem. How can I help you get the most from the product you invested in when you say things like "CR xxx is better"? 2) Suggest how we may resolve the problem. By offering suggestions we gain a clue as to how we can resolve it. (Again, this is you investing in the product you purchased! I'm still fixing and developing new things) 3) Provide a log file. Regardless if you think its not worth it, there are so many reasons for a log file. (Conflicting routines, Client language, obvious errors, spell output, context, etc, etc) Im not sure if many people are aware but Oracle II will be supported when WoD comes out, unfortunately the people that refunded will not get the opportunity to use it for that expansion. Its in everyone's best interest if you buy a product from the store to support the developer by following the three steps I mention above. One more thing, if you know your class and you want to *invest* in your purchase then contact me and I will arrange Beta access to resolve the issues you are having. Yes, if you have a problem, I will work with you 1 on 1 to resolve the issue!
Here's a question.. Like a few should know, Holy Paladin is rocking with this CR, and that's great. Now i would like to know how's Holy Priests are performing.. I really enjoy then and Atillio's for Holy Priest is... let's say weak. It needs A LOT of tunning on the logic. So, how's Oracle II performance for Holy Priests?
Guys, Just a quick update. Some changes I have made thats currently being beta tested. [Core] Changes to the core to make it more mana efficient, but still increase healing output. [All] Fixed a bug in currenthealth (effected Malkorok healing) [All] Fixed a bug in Combat log that would calculated Periodic heals incorrectly [Druid] Fixed a bug in swiftmend not casting [Priest] Fixed penance casting on cooldown. Cast conditions are:- Oncooldown, OnNoChargesLeft, OnTankHealth && NoChargesLeft or Has Glyph of Prayer of mending, AoE Dynamic Spell with settings. [Priest] Addition of ShadowWordDeath enable/disable [Priest] Fixed Penance not calculating correctly - it was favouring Greater Heal as Penance was calculating low. [Priest] Grouped some Settings for readability [Paladin] Fixed an Issue with Paladin not judging on Immerseus [Paladin] Fixed Selfless healer stacks and Holy Radiance not respecting stack count Disc priest was a little lacking so ive spent more time honing it to be even better. Hopefully beta testing goes well and you guys reap the benefits. Wulf
There has been at least two updates every day for Oracle 2. They may not be full releases but are updates for the beta testers. All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
