Honestly don't know why this hasn't already been implemented - the forums, or at least a large portion of them, need to be closed off to paying members only. There was an incident earlier tonight involving non-paying members that could have easily been avoided. This would also effectively inhibit non-paying users from downloading profiles, CCs, and plugins.
This has been mentioned before a few times & every time I recall Bossland saying its staying public for some reason or another.
Now that there's an imminent threat on the horizon, I sincerely hope he reconsiders. I don't see what there is to gain by staying public.
Its because the only way to identidy that you payed for the program is with your Shop Account, which is seperate from your forum account, so it would be impossible to recognize who has payed for it in the forums, thus making it hard to section off the forums.
Would not make any sense since it a public bot, and with that comes a public forum. Really nothing to do about it, but i agree with you.
If infact the non paying bot users was banned deliberately I think that alone may have got the message across.
We've got a rogue script kiddie cracking the bot within 30 minutes of every release, and hundreds of people joining his cause. If that's not a threat.. explain to me what is. Hell, they've even gone viral on youtube now.
At the very least, get rid of this goon - http://www.thebuddyforum.com/members/33567-corrupt.html He's posting direct links to a site that i'm sure doesn't belong on these forums.
