This is a question for the professional botters who handle 5+ bots per computer. Im wondering how you guys protect your IP? Surely if blizzard sees 5 toons on the same IP and same Computer they know your up to no good when running 12+ hours a day. Static IP? or what?
I have been wondering the same exact thing... Any help would be GREAAAAATLY appreciated. Even if Blizzard doesn't ban or track IPs so much (as some have come to think) it has to be wise to set up some sort of PRoxy...
well I guess another question would be having 6 computers on the same isp and network would you mask them all? Now me I used to run wow on 3 different computers when I lived back in Ga. I moved back to cali and basically run them all on just 1 computer with no problem(see sig) . I would think if you began changing things after a period of time it might raise a flag. Morga
I dont think Blizz check ip as if that was the case then people in my guild would be banned, there is 4 of them all playing from same house so same ip address, also have somebody in my guild who runs internet cafe and they have wow setup on several pc's and they all come from same ip address.
There is such thing is private and public I.P address, not sure if Blizz would be able to check private I.P addressing. But I remember reading Blizz checks mac address's anyway, not I.P.
I've been planning to run my bot computer through a ssh server of a mate who does not play wow at all to not link it to my other accounts, hopefully it will work
