[PAID] [Warlock] Demonic - An Advanced Honorbuddy Warlock Routine [PvE/PvP]

Hey,

I recently upgraded from the trial version of honorbuddy to the lifetime membership, on the trial I bought demonic but when I now load the game the profile is not selectable in the startup screen. Is this because it was bound to my 3 day trial key? Is there anyway to get it on my new key?

 

did you upgrade your trial key or buy a new key?

 

This is the best news i have heard, i really hope the team get the bot up and running asap! but fair play to them, the product they have given us is superb.. and your routine... is crazy

 

Mills, dumb question and I think I know the answer.....but can we delete our old saved configurations?

just fyi, i am destruction lock and Fel Flame, drain life and health funnel are gone from spell book. Others that were passive are also gone. More or less, they kink of nuked us.

You can upgrade armor with [Lesser Charm of Good Fortune] and buy your pride gear with Honor Points. I needed one last pride item and had max hp so i just got it.

Guess it is time to change specs to get some of them back to use.

Hit is no longer mentioned in the character stats.

Millz you know i love your Work sir ive gotten to toons to to gladiator now and not stop props in rbg's about dmg and cc and raid there is no lock that can keep up with me even if they out gear me spriest is just crazy also <3 keep up the good work and thank you so much for the update hoping hb is up soon tonight was ruff trying to keep up my top of the meter status with out your fine find cr my fingers hurt

 

Cool, i use that for battle grounds and i guess not i will start for everything for now one. I checked it and see all the stuff is there mostly.

Cannot wait for HB to be ready and i can use millz to kick ass.

Oh yeah, they took away ability to case incinerate while moving, no glyph to make it so.

 

I really don't want to switch into Demonology because I have absolutely no clue as to what settings to use. I am completely unfamiliar with that spec, metamorphosis switching, and all that jazz. I detest how they screwed up warlocks this patch. It really pisses me off, but it's not something I can change, so I suppose I'm just going to have to pester people here for the best Demonology settings and become one of "those" people.

I'm also going to read up on Icy Veins to see if I can learn anything about Demonology.

 

They only nuked Destru, Affli is a lil bit strong, and atm the stongest specc is Demo, and also i need to say, im happy that they bring back the old Warlock Playstyle...yea, the removed the movementcasting, but its no problem. all the other things are little perks that maked warlock easier to play, but they take all the fun and skill of this class away...

I have never used Demo, might be worth a shot. I liked the ability to move and cast a couple of things to at least do some damage. My hunter (omg jump, spin, run, flip and almost fly and still shoot) , My Monk has a few and does lots of damage while moving. Unless they nuked them also. I will have to check my monk and hunter to find out. When i logged them in to buy 20 warforged seals, i saw no change in the abilities i had on the user bars. The thing I don't like that they did was take fel flame, health funnel and others away from dest.

Did 6 quest so far in blasted lands with lock last night. easy as all get so far. cant wait to get through the gate to take on some mobs.

-- I would just use the default to start out with after HB and demonic are up. You will find the CR does real good in default setting.
For most locks it is going to be a learning curve for a short bit.

demo and destro have mostly the same abilities, i noticed all the abilities in demo were also in destro plus extras. so at first if i do spec demo i will just use it like destro and add the extra abilities within a macro. I do now that demo guys used to kick my destro ass in duels. So it might be worth the change.

 

Actually, they didn't screw up Warlocks that much at all. They made a lot of Quality of Life changes and nerfed our ability to cast Incinerate on the move/Spam Soul Swap. That's about it.

They also removed our 50% Pandemic, but made a 30% Pandemic baseline for all people now and snapshotting is completely gone, your dots dynamically updates with your current stats.

It's absolutely great because it was horrible gameplay.

Destruction is virtually unchanged from 5.4 -> 6.0.2 and it will be unchanged @ 100 as well. You can't move and cast anymore, that's it. (At 100, you get a 1min CD for AoE if talented)
Demonology is unchanged from 5.4 -> 6.0.2 but will change considerably at level 100.
Affliction went from spamming SB: SS to dotting to forcing you to cast dots yourself. While not a QoL issue, SB: SS was powerfull. Affliction is really competitive at cleave and single-target fights, but toss in 3+ adds in there and Destru/Demo is going to be better.


Demonology and Destruction should be the 2 specs that you rock right now. Demonology don't suffer that much from movement as the other 2 specs, so that's why it's damage is higher. The lack of Demonbolt at this stage means that after we expend our Molten Core procs, we can still move while spamming ToC.


From what I can see at least, Destru and Demo are doing considerably more damage than Affliction because it's so strong single-target right now without the level 100 abilities and leveling perks.

@Zeldrak: I'll post my Demonology settings as soon as Demonic/HB is up again.

 

Default settings won't be updated with the initial 6.0.2 build, so will likely need some tuning. Once I do update them I'll forcefully overwrite all of the default ones (PvP.xml, PvE.xml, and Questing.xml) - so save these off somewhere if you've edited them, and wish to keep them.

Just quick news update. All of my products are fully updated to the new API now. Still haven't tested anything yet, but it all compiles happily into Honorbuddy - which is the major part.

 

I can crush damage meters without HB but i'm too lazy. Thanks for quick work, love you!

 

I'm only going to guess and say you haven't had much time to actually play the game Millz? I was going to ask you for suggestions about talents and glyphs for this new content. Just what would work best with the routine, sort of like a "default" build with talents and glyphs. I'm speaking for demonology of course, since that's going to be the new "Go To" spec it seems.

This isn't just directed towards Millz. Any of you pro-locks can chime in as well.

@Nerakk -- Thanks for the settings when you get them updated, just in case I blow a gasket and forget to thank you then.

 

Played beta @ 100 a bit. Haven't touched level 90 6.0.2 PTR/live yet. Icy Veins have updated their guides for 6.0.2 though - probably the best place to check for recommended talents and glyphs.

Note: I'm using Glyph of Imp Swarm because I'm a Troll and use it together with my Berserking ability for a very minor DPS gain. If you're not a Troll; I'd suggest removing it and using another glyph like Healthstone, Soulstone, Siphon Life or Eternal Resolve depending on personal preference and (if you're raiding) raid strategy.



Of course, we don't have access to Demonbolt and Glyph of Dark Soul yet, but that's pretty much the cookie-cutter Cleave/Single-target build for Demonology. If extra on-demand burst is necessary, you can also switch from GoSup to GoServ.

At 5+ adds at any point during an encounter, you'd want to switch from Demonbolt to Cataclysm.

That's the only real change between level 90 and 100 gameplay for Demonology.
