      This isn't entirely true.

I've found many great private buyers and I even play with some of them on my main sometimes.

Since I started getting private buyers (which didn't take long at all), I have people wanting gold faster than I can supply it with three bots on one server.

This has encouraged me to bring up another three bots and I'm sure I'll have the same luck.

There's always a risk of losing your gold, but in my opinion, I feel like you have a greater risk of losing your gold (by losing your account) when selling to the Chinese. I wont do it again. I prefer the higher payouts.

A lot if you are know what you are doing, but even a minimum wage job in US pays better if you aren't botting. Use to be a lot better, but it's hard to make money when someone in China will do the exact same thing though a professional designed system of farming farming for 50 cents an hour.

Also, there can be a lot of risk selling to private buyers (recalls/chargebacks).

As something for enjoyment and a little extra money on the side? Sure. As a job? Not worth it in the US or Western Europe.

Does anyone actually pay taxes on what they are making with this? and if so how do you even report it? I would like to see how someone that with a LARGe scale income goes about running this operation

I'm sure some people pay taxes on the money they make from selling gold. If it's under a couple of thousand a year, it's probably not even an issue, if it's more than that, or you have other circumstances (run a "legit" business, not reporting the extra income is really going to hurt you if you're ever audited). Also if you're under age, and have never filed taxes before, you can fly pretty high and still be under the radar.

Reporting extra income is something anyone who doesn't fill out the EZ form (or whatever it's called in your country) knows how to do.

An entire army could be run by a single person, some parts would take a lot of patience, but a systematic methodology could do it in an hour or two a day. Fairly inexpensive computers can easily run 4-8-12 bots at a time... Since your slave employees consist of computer toons and yourself, your work ethic is going to mean a lot. I'd run it like you would any other business. With the sole intention of making money.

Perhaps you should ask bossland. since he's being in that type of business for eons.

You're suppose to report any miscellaneous income over 600$+ under "Other Income" on your 1040 form.

Most if not all "large scale" operations aren't US based anyway or are business entities.

If you are in a situation making large income from selling wow gold, seek advise from a tax advisor to be safe.

this might come out as sarcastic but damn, i looked at everyone of your questions, one after another.
it's not like your asking how to code or something but it seems like you need someone to hold your hand
      throughout the farming/goldselling process

Im asking for input and opinions and the subject not hand holding. If you want to be successful in life learn to put your ego aside and see all sides of the market your buying into. That is what Im doing

Well the thing with this market is: The more ppl doing it, less profitable it is. Well i guess its like that with everything, so no one wants to tell their secrets. Not that anyone has anything againts you, but them having money is more important to them than you having money =)

What do you guys think of selling gold directly over ebay?

I'm espacially interested on your thoghts about the legal situation, regarding selling alot and taxes and so on. I'm from germany, so us law wont apply to me, but I'm still curious.

gold on Ebay lol, no that would not work out at all. for one thing its against Ebay's TOS to sell virtual items, but also it gives a clear link between the real your and the wow you.

With each bump, the competition gets worse, as if 0.5 to 0.8 per 1000 gold isn't bad enough.

On german ebay you can sell gold, but you have to pay 2 times fee on ebay... so at the end, its better to sell on chinese guys

No one cares anymore, people freely advertise websites, freely give out their secrets, and show off how much they make, I have absolute no clue why but I guess people here are as business minded as a 7 year old girl.
