I know this is has been asked before but i want an update of what you guys think about bans for association with any bot account at least not ingame. (Same ip , Mac address..) I've search alot in the forum but most of the threads are from 2012.

In my opinion i believe that blizzard cant ban for any of those reasons because same Ip/Mac Addresess do not represent the same person so they have to stick the punish to the account that has infricted their TOS, here is my case tho:

I have a new account just for botting which i did RAF with my main. My main got banned once for 72h but i have been legit with it since then. So im basically "completely related" with my bot account, (RAF , ip/mac address, i did bot in the pass) but somehow i think im still safe of getting banned on my main since i can be a totally different person than the one that is botting. Do you guys think the same? Ty.

      botting is not safe.
there is always a chance you could be banned. if you send one single gold piece to your main account, there is a chance you can be banned.

likely? no one knows really. its your account. you take the chance. we really cant tell you whether or not you feel comfortable taking the chance.

honestly, if you come to these forums and ask questions like these, sounds like you dont want to lose your account. maybe botting isnt for you.

Try and act human, the more human your bot is the less chance of bans.

What im really meaning is that blizzard cant really determinate that the same person is using both accounts , even tho they are related somehow (RAF , IP..)

i dont mean any ingame association , thats why i bold "not"ingame associations , even tho if you "trade" gold by guild bank for example , they still cant determinate that one account is related to another.

Thats just what i think , that if i dont bot at all on my main it should be safe. Ty for your comments , would like to see more

Mac address doesn't change... Meaning if your using one computer and you never change your Network Interface Card, your mac will not change either. You can spoof the mac sure but your ISP lends you an I.P. address for your computer until you restart your router or computer, if those never change you are the same person. Don't get caught botting is all I can say, consolidate your times, do it when server population is low i.e. leveling or grinding. And don't make it obvious for PvP or PvE.

Same ip address , even if it doesnt change ever , there could be alot of scenarios when 2 people or more share the same ip , i think they can flagg one account for same ip as a botter but do nothing more if they dont find out any third party programm ussed on it. Also , same mac address doesnt mean same person , it just means same computer has been used , like in a internet cafe.

As i said , im pretty much sure that they cant ban you for using the same ip as your bot. As long as you dont create any ingame associaton with your main you should be fine
