We'll we didn't quite reach Garrosh mythic last night due to server issues so I'll make a point of logging it next raid. Also the time spent m/c or target switching to mc and even transitions would all go towards downtime on Garrosh lowering the dps compared to a patchwork fight so maybe there a tiny amount of aoe compared to a patchwork fight but there's no dps loss to downtime In a Patchwork fight which would lessen the argument more.
View attachment 9376 2014-10-24 06.16.txt Hey, Enhancement Shammy, spent some time on a dummy and a couple of things that i noticed: Flame shock and windstrike issues fixed. Yay! Still not using Earth Elemental totem. Ascendance logic is a bit off. i.e. on the pull the CR will: pops ascendance > fire elemental totem > spiritwolves > windstrike. Wouldnt better logic be to: Unleash elements > Fire elemental > Spirit wolves > stormstrike > Ascendance This way you aren't wasting GCD's whilst in Ascendance and you can use stormstrike then reset the cd and use it again immediately. Just some thoughts. Thanks for your work.
Thanks for updating! came 7th on Mythic garrosh but that's just how assasination rogues are atm (and the fact the iron star spawned ontop of garrosh on p4 and 1 shot me)
Hi Characture, Enhancement shamans should no longer use Earth Elemental Totem unless you are soloing things. Earth Elemental Totem is now a survival cooldown and not an offensive one. I'll look into the burst opening, no promises.
TBH I don't even know if patchwerk or garrosh yields higher dps for various classes for the same reasons you mentioned but that's actually my whole point of the post. SimC has to be interpreted for what it is "simming." If we all start extrapolating OK there are 3 sets of adds and then we have 3 sets of downtime on transitions and then the log/fight stopped right after a proc phase so the dps was slightly boosted and then we try to assume that all these extrapolations should average out an entire complex encounter into a Patchwork SimC, I don't think it's valid. SimC has it's own inherent range of accuracy as it is, and if you throw in multiple variables that are supposed to counterbalance each other based on personal guesswork it just makes the entire process even less accurate. It may be that in your case mythic garrosh mimics patchwerk almost perfectly and the huge swings up of AE burst followed by low transitions balance out perfectly, it would be more coincidence than truly comparing CR performance to SimC performance. I just happened to have my logs open so peaked at them but we don't really have to log anything ourselves to know - we have thousands of logs of the best players in the world already all over the internet to compare to. If we want to compare CR performance on Garrosh, why would we use SimC Patchwork instead of picking one of the hundreds of hunters our same ilvl off Warcraftlogs for a more direct comparison? And if we want to compare Patchwerk performance to optimize the CR (the whole purpose these threads exist) why not just set a raid dummy and SimC to the same buffs and seconds instead of throwing in positive and negative variables to assume they balance each other out? TLDR: compare Garrosh to Garrosh, compare Patchwork to Patchwork
Didn't think you'd need one, thought it was just a bug I just looked at the log, it says in the prot settings, aoe = 1.. but i can 100% guarantee, it wasnt set to 1 on the bot. I kept changing it to see if it would fix it.. It was NEVER lower then 2. On garrosh, I had to stop the bot, cause it was still casting HoTR when there was just the boss. [21:11:04.686 V] [YRB] AoENumber: 1 [21:11:04.687 V] [YRB] ConsecrationCount: 2 [21:11:04.687 V] [YRB] HammeroftheRighteousCount: 2 Let me explain why I chose to do it like this. I wanted optional choices for the user, so I decided that Hammer of the Righteous would get it's own count along with Consecration. So the user can decide how many units he/she can use those abilities on, I know in the start it might be complicated, but it's for the better / worse in the long run. AoECount is now Avenger's Shield (Top priority for AoE) but! if you want to do max dps set this on 1 unit (boss) Have fun with your Protection Paladin
Love this on my ele shaman, wish I didn't have to place the earthquake myself, but all in all, awesome.
Hi Amaryllis, Looking into the Earthquake issue on elemental shaman, will be fixed on next build. Thanks!
Whoa I feel pretty cool getting feedback straight from the developer. Yeah, when you have it selected for true, it makes the target icon and then continues with the rotation unless you click where you want the earthquake to me. I used YRB free for a while now and when I saw you made a premium, had to have it. Its quality work and I can play my many alts at a high level thanks to your time and dedication. If there comes a time when you get frustrated and feel like its not worth it, there are little people like me who are highly appreciative of the things you do!
I'm getting a similar problem with death and decay and light's hammer. It attempts to put them down (i can see the cast circle thing) but then it continues on with the routine without placing them.
