I think as WoD is not released yet there should be a really realistic chance to get the money back because they did not provide any service for the money yet. After the launch of WoD this would be a different case but until now I think that he must get his money back

See here int he U.s if somone gets banned and they request proof that they were botting blizzard would for example have to admit to privacy violation or B remove the ban

But they did provide service. They provided a free boost of any character to 90, and if they ordered the deluxe edition, they also provided in game items.

I'm not saying that he shouldn't get his money back, but the argument that no service was provided is false.

And as I said earlier, this thread is just stupid. The mere fact that someone would come to us to ask these questions before going to Blizz is about as stupid as it gets.

No you bought the Xpac. The others were "extras". TOS or not the law says they have to refund. There is no wiggle room. And if they refuse, sue them and they will owe all attorneys fees and filing expenses.

This is absolutely and totally false. Go read the ToS. It specifically says they can ban you at any time for any reason and they never have to inform you of the banning. It's their product, you agreed to their ToS. It's as simple as that.

Keep in mind that you own absolutely nothing when it comes to online video games, minus the box and cd's if you bought a retail copy. Your character is not yours, the only reason why Blizzard allows you to access their servers is because they want you to access the servers. They could turn them off at anytime and you'd have absolutely no recourse.

You are wrong, and you should stop saying things like this. It clearly says on the Blizz store that there is absolutely no refunds. Guess what that means? They don't have to give you shit back. Once you paid, that money is theres and they are free to do whatever they want with it.

Actually, what you stated is absolutely wrong. They can put anything in their ToS, but it does not make it legally binding. There are consumer laws that trump the craptastic ToS. Now, they can absolutely ban you whenever they want, but they cannot legally keep your money if they dont provide the service they agreed to provide.

100% you can get your money back (with a chargeback/dispute. And the financial institutions will always favor the consumer. Although, when you do this, just be aware your card will most likely be barred from any other blizzard services.

They are required to refund WoD since you haven't used it yet. Also if you call them and demand your refund they usually unban you

Wrong, wrong wrong. If you get banned for botting, they provided you service. At that point, they have no reason to refund you anything.

And guess what else Blizzard can do? They can have a collections company come after you and destroy your credit.

Which is more worth it to you? Losing a $30 wow license or having your credit destroyed because you think you're in the right?

Wrong? Haha. You are the perfect customer.

Everybody running into this issue, do not listen to the above poster, you are 100% able to get your money back. That guy has no clue.

No point in argueing with the ignorant.

P.s. Your credit is not afffected by legal chargebacks. Not only that, but you most likely will not need to do a chargeback, just get on live chat with blizzard and request your money back.

Just to put this out there while we're still on the topic. They cant call collections on you for a service they didnt provide. Your logic is not logical. Lol

Not only do they have to, they do it. Confirmed from 2 friends so far. They will definitely refund. It's Blizzard, not some chickenshit garage company.

I don't know where you are from, but most European countries have some very strict laws regarding consumer rights and denying a refund when a customer wants to cancel a pre-order of an item / service that has yet to be released is something most countries would require any service provider to comply to. It doesn't really matter whether Blizzard hates you for being a botter or not, cancelling a pre-order and getting a refund is quite frankly something Blizzard have to comply, at least here in most European countries.

      EDIT:

Not to mention the fact that myself and several others have already stated that we have been able to get a refund for Warlords of Draenor, so why people continues to argue I have no clue. Do yourself a favour, login to Battle.Net, go to the Live Chat, give them your Warlords of Draenor order number, and you'll have your refund within minutes. This is what I did with my primary account that got banned late-September, there was no questions asked and I've got my money which I used to upgrade my new starter edition into a full Warlord of Draenor Standard Edition.

      This is a non-issue.

This is old and has been going on for a while. If you have a WoD account banned you will get your money back or they will unban it for a 2nd time. I've read follow ups on actualy player accounts go either way.

Only piece of advice I can give is to stay away from public profiles, too many people use them in a shoulder-to-shoulder atmosphere.

I would attempt to sue Blizzard for mal-practice.

I have experience with this and have gotten the return. you don't have to be nice or get the "right" person. just ask and you will get a return as long as you do it prior to release. everyone else in this thread being rude and saying you wont or you don't deserve it are just trolling or inexperienced with this issue.
