Anyone know which CPU would be able to run 20 - 25 bots doing dungeons? Preferably an AMD one, or Intel, whichever is cheaper really .
u might wana get a server an few desktops for this its abit much for 1 computer to handle 25 wow proccess an Hb bots
Are you sure? I have an inexpensive Cpu atm, fx6300 and I can run 10 hb dungeon bots without problems
Fx8320 @ 4.2 ghz + 16gb ram Is enough to run 20 clients with 20 bots, tested it with 4 full raf groups leveling in dungeons, and doing different stuff after that. "The big problem" are the FPS to feed 20 clients, with a GTX770 (in my case) was enough launching the clients with all qualitys in low, still have very poor fps but its boteable.
I was thinking either that Cpu or the fx8350 as it's only £20 more, just wasn't sure if they were capable of running 20+bots. Do you recall the cpu usage % when running the 20 bots? Also, what fps were the bots running at for you with a 770, as I have a 760 and would prefer not upgrading that . Thanks a lot, really helpful .
How long ago was this? Because one of my bot rigs is a 2600k @ 4,5 Ghz and at high spikes, 10 dungeonbuddy will run at 90% with 20 fps in WoW client.
I have a 4770k overclocked to 4.5 ghz. I can probably max out at 20 and maintain a performable amount of fps. Almost any modern graphics card will be able to do the job as long as you don't go too cheap. If you want to run 25 bots you should use an enthusiast chip like the new 8 core haswell. A top end consumer chip might be able to handle it if you optimize everything perfectly but it would probably be cutting it very close. I've also found that WoW likes to have 2gb of ram per client, I don't know what will happen if you try to run 25 WoWs on 8 gigs of ram. Just my experience with my hardware.
i7 3770k will do it. Thats what I use and I could scrub out almost 30. Its the ram you gotta worry about. you will need 32g of ram for 25 bots
Wow, I would like to know more about your setup - I myself have i7 3770K, 32gig ram and ssd. Mine chokes at 10 dungeonbuddies .. Donno what the hell i'm doing wrong!
Related to OP, but not advice on CPU: do search for 'wow lower than low settings'. I believe there is a Config file that allows you to substantially lower the graphics beyond the Blizz options, netting you considerable FPS. If I recall there was a Reddit post for it, I'll try and edit with the link later in the day.
Okay personally I find the Intel cpus a bit too expensive for a botting PC so I am thinking about the Fx8350. It's about half the price of the i7 3770k. Does anyone have any personal experience with this cpu for botting?
Guys I'm thinking of getting an AMD Fx8350, does anyone have any personal experience with this cpu and botting? If so how many bots is it capable of running, assuming the cpu is the bottleneck.
To be honest I have not had that many bots running in a long time. Back when I was running 25 pick pocketing profiles. I think now with HB taking more resources it may not run that many. Did you OC your CPU?.
