Archaeology for the last 10 levels?

I read somewhere that this was a good method to finish out the last 10 levels. Does anyone have a guide or specifics on how this is accomplished? Is it even viable? Any advice would be welcome.

Did you just go to pandaria and initiate the archaeology bot? Do you need a specific profile?

 

Just load the Archaelogy Bot and press Start in Orgrimmar.
The rest works itself.

Don't forget to setup u'r flying mount.
Max Skill should be reached in +- 1,5h

same here i just start it in orgrimmar. it wont train all the way till 600 tho but you will keep getting XP

 

Just to clarify, I should only do archaeology for the last 5 levels? I read in the success story forum, that someone used it from 81-90, but it is so hard to tell if he is trolling or if it is a fast method for leveling.

 

How much time it takes to level from 85 - 90 ?

 

If you are leveling through RAF then I dont think that you need archaeology to get 85. But the last 5 ones are kind of slow..

I'm currently leveling with Kick's questing profile. I am only leveling one character on one account. I am currently 80 and it seems to be going fairly quickly, about 2 hours per level, faster if I do raid bot in a few dungeons. I am just wondering when the best time to switch to archaeology would be. Right now I am leaning toward 85-90, but I might try it sooner if the quests start bugging out. At the moment that is not an issue though.

 

It's Friday night so I'd say bot dungeons straight through the night. Always a lot of players doing dungeons on Friday nights, ques are fast, and you don't need to babysit the bot in the 80-90 dungeon bracket. Set it up and go get your weekend on amigo!

I'm a protection warrior, doesn't really work. I don't even have the gear for another spec or might consider switching. I am testing the archaeology now and it is decent, about 200k an hour with 280 flying skill at level 81. Unfortunately, it is flying back to stormwind to train rather than just using my hearthstone, which is costing some xp/hr. I don't see any way to change that in settings either. I may just run a few dungeons with raid bot on or be a dirtbag and do some as fury in all tank gear lol.

 

The fastest always seems to be dungeons. Queues are a bit long as dps, but if you can run them as tank/healer with raidbot, the exp flies up.

 

I am going try a dps spec since I found a 2 hander in my bags. I plan on testing mixed mode with archaeology and dungeon buddy. I don't know if it will work, I know mixed doesn't work with Kick's questing profile, but we will see. I'll be monitoring it 100% to test. If it works, that will be great.

 

So far so good. It successfully queued for the dungeons and proceeded to do archaeology. I switched follow distance to 5 in non-combat, we'll see how it performs in the dungeon once the queue pops.

I just finished the first dungeon without issue. The bot is now resuming archaeology, xp/hr is up to about 350k and it seems flawless. Reducing the follow distance to 5 seems to work quite well also.

 

Good xp, good loot, and the transitions between dungeon and archaeology are flawless. Queue times are 20 minutes, but aside from that, I couldn't be happier.
