Archaeology for the last 10 levels?

i would recommend doing the last five levels with questing.. it works very well and since they lowered the requiement to level up, you finish the first area, and the one that works the best, with lvl 88, i would skip v4w since the dumb dumb can get stuck trying to kill eagles unless that was fixed.. go to kunlai or townlong, and you will finish very soon. Archeology was great since you could leave it unatended for days and come back to a level 90, but since a few weeks they started to heavily control and wipe archeologers.. i dont know its status right now but ill stay away from it.

 

Good advice, I am going to finish up leveling it to 600 and stop. Gathering type botting does seem to be an easy target for bans. Also dungeon buddy is pretty much garbage. It leaves instance without turning in quests, moves around in erratic ways, doesn't loot quests items, and much much more. If you are watching it and able to stop bot re-position and restart, it is fine, but not something you can safely run unattended. I think I'll just quest and raid bot to finish out the last 6 levels, too many issues with dungeon buddy and too much risk with gathering types like archaeology.

 

Can't tell u anything about the gained xp from archaeology...but I would say: give it a try and u will see..

What's your experience so far?

 

Archaeology buddy was fair experience. With 280 flying mount speed, I averaged 240k per hour over a 5 hour stretch. Mixed mode with dungeon buddy and archaeology was better, but dungeon buddy requires supervision due to it's many issues in most dungeons. There are some it was able to run completely and effectively with no assistance required, but even then it performed some spastic movements, i.e running back and forth, or running to set spots between pulls, often a great distance away from the other members of the party. With supervision I was able to get around 350k per hour using mixed mode, but found the risk too great for the additional reward.

At 240k xp per hour with archaeology, I'd say it is perfectly reasonable to run it from 80-90, but in the end I chose not to do that. I try to bot as safely as I can, fully aware that nothing is safe, but also aware that some things are more dangerous than others. I feel as though running archaeology for 10 straight levels over the course of a couple days would be more risky than simply questing with a few raid bot lead dungeons mixed in when I actually feel like playing.
