I would say this has been the lowest revenue earned expansion, so definitely nulls that persons statement after saying biggest expansion.
Ya they are having more problems then they had in the past. I have been trying to get on since 2pm pst. Got on about 2 hours ago and it kicked me off right away and threw me into another queue. I never had this kind of experience for any other expansion.
Read their forums....they got DDOS'd and had to implement lower realm pops as a result hence the long wait times.
should more be like: servers come back on -> I can finally log in and no queue of 5k people -> I can start hb with grind profile after tanaan level intro profile (as there is nothing else for horde for now) Now that would be great. Yesterday was only waiting in queue in getting disconnected
back in bc technology was not that good and in no legal argument could you say blizzard had failed to provide the best product possible for the money paid , this is 2014 we have super computers now , blizzard have failed due to lack of investment in hardware and this time around i would think for sure residents of the uk would have legal arguments. plain and simple blizzard have knowingly ripped people off since selling this product and experience and don't forget this time with all the hype they where selling an experience. i feel this time around the legal people will already be rubbing their hands and i for one will more than happily look into starting a player compensation support site if blizzard offer no compensation to players in at least the form of free play time.
Yes Blizz should bought more servers... for two days... and then put them in warehouse.... Ppl just learn something about IT, finance management and stop QQing. It is same as every expansion, because there is no way how to fix it without throwing sh*t load of dollars out of the window. To everyone who keep saying that other launches were good: Horde turret in MoP, bugged quest phasing in Cata, not working boat/zeppelin in WotLK, bugged portal in TBC
I'm pretty sure I can make you believe in anything I say. And HERE is the main problem. There is already technology and infrastructure available to absorb this spike in processing for a couple of days/weeks. Cloud computing is not only for storing your files in dropbox. Once you build your infrastructure around it, it is dirty cheap to hire additional processing power.
This was expected. If you came into this expansion with the assumption that it would work flawlessly after the announced that they had gotten 600,000 new subscriptions then you are a fool. The servers are stabilizing and it's just how the game goes on released days.
Seriously. If you can solve the technological problem of users on servers, send in a resume and tell them how to fix the problem!
Blizzard just ruined my days. I cant bot i cant play myself.. yeah but well i knew that it would be like that so nothing unexpected. However it is still annoying as hell since my bot farm just went so smooth past days and now i am forced to take a break again. Not to mention those tons of small patches they will release for sure in the next weeks.
that sounds like very convenient excuse.. not buying it, more like as usual they didnt update processing power and whatever else is needed because the greedy bastards didn't want to invest into something that would only work for launch and maybe a couple of months while filling their pockets.
What sad and pathetic nerd rage. "Blizz nurfed my class for the last time! I will ruin the enjoyment of millions of other people in responce! NERD RAGE!" I'll admit though, other companies like EA are probably cheering at the schadenfreude.
