Great to hear I've been using oracle now for a while since i came back and it's been great Let me know if there is any specific priest things you guy's need help testing I've got a very well geared priest atm and would be delighted to help give you some feedback.
I hope that it takes the tanks into consideration more, it just seems to not want to heal them even when they are below 50% health.
Well, a good thing with the time between major releases like 6.0.2 and Warlords of Draenor and the combat routine being optimised is that if forces me to dig into the settings myself. I have managed to tweak the settings for my Discipline Priest somewhat so it went from barley managing to do Providing Grounds: Bronze into getting to 6 / 10 in Gold and have been clearing Heroics with ease ever since, unless I get DPS-players that completely ignore boss tactics. Even when my friend (Protection Warrior @ TuanHA Special Edition) manages to pull 1-2 packs more than we would consider sensible I have managed to keep him alive. We tried to do Skyreach Challenge Mode yesterday, but sadly the healing was not able to keep up, but then again this shows great potential for Oracle II when the routine gets updated and optimised for level 100. Oracle II is fantastic with mana-management compared to Singular, it's not even funny. Whereas Singular will go out-of-mana during every single boss-fight, Oracle II will keep having 70%+ even though it heals just as effective after I managed to tweak the settings. The only negative part is that Oracle II seems to be a little too passive, so in Challenge Mode where there will be lots of spells not being able to cast due to heavy movement, and a lot of damage on the tank it will simply not be able to keep up as a direct result of it being too passive. The major problem I have now is boss-fights which heavy relies on dispels on party members and the boss. I've just started with Oracle II and Discipline Priest so I'm not that into the settings as of yet. But there seems to be a way to add Spell ID's etc into the Dispel part of the settings? I've tried this, especially Bloodmaul Slag Mines Heroic is a instance which needs good Dispel management and here I have to be fast on my hands and Alt + X in order to pause Enyo, cast Mass Dispel or Purify on friendly target or Magic Dispel on the boss when need be and then hit Alt + X in order to start the bot again. Having the bot running makes it impossible to cast anything manually. I did try to add the spells into the Dispel Manager part of the settings, but it doesn't seem to do anything? And I'm not sure if I'm supposed to add things in order for the bot to Mass Dispel, use Purify or whether it's for boss dispelling?
The dispel manager should handle the single target dispels, when put in properly. So make sure you get the correct spell ID and set it as priority that will dispel as it gets applied to a friendly target, if that does not work still shoot me a log of it with dispel logging turned on. Mass dispel was not fully implemented yet but We should be able to get some logic in with if more than x number of dispels need to be done and it can hit everyone with it use it. Great feedback and keep it coming! All's well that Heals well, Bennyquest
Can anyone comment how MW is doing at 100 with this routine? Unfortunately, Tuanha's Monk MW is extremely out of date, and performing sub-par atm, so I'm looking for an alternative.
Im very interested in this aswell #ryftobuddy. Im actually thinking about going MW as main spec, but only if theres a proper routine for it. How is this routing handling Mistweaver healing ?
Can you post your settings? I too barely beat Bronze as Disc Priest, which is why I initially came here looking for answers.
I will upload my settings when I'm done testing and tuning. I'm currently testing and comparing few variations in Proving Grounds and currently I have something doing quite a bit better than my previous ones which worked quite well in Heroics thus far in WoD. These new ones are quite a bit more demanding on the mana but it shouldn't be any problem with heroics, but they might be too aggressive for RAIDs but they aren't coming before a week or so and by then I suppose we might have new updates to Oracle anyway.
Okay, so compared to my previous settings I could only reach 5-6 on Proving Grounds Gold, with these new ones I reach 7-9 depending on how much mana I've got left before the last few waves. If you need the bot to conserve more mana you can simply go into the settings and disable the use of "Heal" and it should be much more mana efficient, but then its much more sensitive to group damage and heavy direct damage on the tank compared to when it's enabled. So please try my Discipline Priest settings and see how they work for you, Proving Grounds don't depend on item level if I have understood it correctly so you should be able to do both Bronze and Silver if you have gear with the correct secondary stats (Critical Strike and Mastery). I'm able to do all Heroics with ease (started at ilevel 613 or something so right above the ilevel requirement, so was my friend who was the Protection Warrior Tank) when there is a half decent tank and no DPS that completely ignore the machanics and tactics of the fight. But be aware, the second boss of Bloodmaul Slag Mines and a few other relies on dispels and might be tricky. Link to Dropbox download
Right now I own Tuahna's and oracle paid versions. Tuahna's is not optimized at all and has trouble keeping the group up in normal and heroic instances @ 100. He knows this and hopefully it will be back in all its glory once he updates the routine. Oracle right now does some silly things and is a little passive on tank healing but it gets the job done for heroic 5 mans as long as you have the proper gear. Sometimes the tank will be getting clobbered and be at 25% hp and oracle decides to channel on another player that is maybe 75%. It is manageable though if you use your cds manually and prepare for the bot to not keep the tank up in certain situations. I am excited to see what they come out with for the updated version though cause right now it is pretty damn good considering it has limited support @ 100.
It seems to be doing some awkward decisions at times, you see this in proving grounds as well when the main tank is dropping health very quickly and is already below 30% HP and the bot will start channelling Penance or Prayer of Mending on another target with above 70% health. But it sure has some great potential, and with my current settings as a Discipline Priest I think it goes beyond what one should expect from a combat routine that doesn't utilize any of the level 100 talents and have yet to be optimised for the Warlord of Draenor content. When it comes to these awkward decisions in terms of whom to heal when, it feels rather silly to not prioritize the tank and all but I guess this has more to do with how things and healing actually worked prior to 6.0.2 and Warlords of Draenor than anything else. Before 6.0.2 and Warlords a tank, even with 30% health would normally be less likely to drop dead compared to a DPS (especially squishy DPS like Mage and Warlocks) which suddenly dropped from 100% down to 70%. And prior to 6.0.2 one would often have more direct heals to just pop all-over-the-place, as a Discipline Priest one could just go crazy and spam Holy Nova and everything would turn out okay. I guess the healing engine needs some tweaking in order to take into consideration how things have shifted greatly after the release of 6.0.2 and Warlords of Draenor, the logic behind healing has shifted quite a bit and there is a much higher focus on the tank compared to the entire group compared to prior 6.0.2.
Currently using this with a Holy priest and having almost no issues. Occasionally, I do have to intervene and begin healing manually, as it seems that the CR ignores some of the party members(mainly DPS) when they are low on HP. Another issue I've found is that the CR, occoasionaly, will not heal unless the tank reachs half HP or I manually begin the first cast. Mana regen hasn't been a huge issues besides on boss fights or heavy damage fights but I assume that is mainly gear. This is the first expansion that I've had to atually use mana pots so religiously! EDIT: Failed to include that the bot doesn't seem to use desperate prayer and prefers to use the 'traditional' healing methods to top off myself.
Anyone have some decent holy priest settings? Edit: Due to huge mana issues - I am at 610 ilvl and seem to be out of mana all the time. As in when I am playing my prot pally, the healers seem to be having zero mana issue problems.
Ive read all your comments and yes, it does some silly things at the moment, as soon as I have spent some time with my level 100 healers I will iron out all the sillyness. If it is not healing tanks until < 50%, turn on overheal logging and see if its a spell thats rejected, it maybe because its logged a huge crit heal and doesnt want to heal with that spell as it will be an overheal...I will pick all these things up of course when i start testing. On another note..i think i have finished the settings manager Pasteboard — Uploaded Image its in alpha testing at the moment, but i am hopeing to intergrate this into Oracle by this weekend. of I go to level some more healers o/ Wulf
When I get home and I'll get my settings up for you if you like. They aren't perfect as I stated but at I had very little mana issues(except during tough add's/bosses) when I was around that item level. I'm currently 627 and those issues have been reduced a LOT, like I said though, having mana pots help a lot. Overall, Oracle has been great to use. I haven't tried any of the other CR as I simply don't need too. I'll make sure to check the overheal logging to see if that is the issue. Also, on the main post, you said you were looking for beta testers still. If that is still accurate, I'd love to get in touch. Will be raiding come raid date (2nd of Dec, can't wait!) and plan to be using this CR as a Holy priest/Disc priest depending on what I see is doing better.
