Hey Kaihaider, so I've been working on a bot communication service, and am near completion. It's basically a service that other plugin / botbase / routine developers can use to send messages from one bot to another. I was wondering if you would let me modify your follower plugin code a little bit and use that as an example of how the communication service works and how other plugins can use it. I'll be sure to give you full credit for the follower of course, it's just a small example.
is this plug working? i got version 0.3 and seems like not working leader space is " null". and do not follow anyone of the party. Im using with ex combat
the normal ex combat assist turns off movement, i uploaded my custom edit which uses precombat buffs and movement. Names are bugged but it should still set the leader correctly I've been busy with holidays, cr and a baby. So I haven't really touched this plugin for a while. I do have a custom botbase and new version in the works which will handle dps targeting but not sure if I'll get back to it until the new year =/
For the life of me I cant seem to get this to work. I"m pretty handy with the bot , but here is exactly what I"M doing, let me know if i'm missing something 1. Using in party once I have the leader selected, loads correctly, doesnt show null so i know its selected right target 2. On BLM , using Ultima Routine with Ex-Combat Assist Tank takes off to pull first group i just sit at start
Are you using the modified excombat assist from my post? Can I get a log? Just to warn you, it won't handle dps targeting. You can try order bot with it but I can't remember how that turned out.
I am using the modified ex-combat in your first post. when you say it wont handle dps targeting you mean it wont start attackign so you cant full afk with it in a dungeon ?
correct I do warn not to afk in the main post it just lets you be lazy until the fight starts. I would like a log though to see why it's not following (while out of combat) Combat assist doesn't call pull or have any targeting. I can't remember how orderbot turned out, it's targeting provider should take over after my plugin sets the kill poi but I'm not sure if the targeting provider includes all the adds. Now that I think about it for a minute, i remember orderbot working pretty well but it did freak out with targeting a couple of the bosses. I do have a new botbase/version in the works which will keep targeting your leader's target but it will be at least a couple weeks before I start working on it again. Wish I could read marks to set kill order. I'm planning on adding a list in the settings to allow you to manually set priority targets. Edit: I should have thought to ask this. Did you try both of the movement alternative methods in the options? Most dungeons don't work well with mesh nav calls.
Thanks for the response, i would assume though that this would work on healing though, unless it would have an issue tracing the target after a partial zone, i did try it with both mesh versions selected, ill run back and post a log after my next dungeon
Healing doesn't use botbase targeting, so that doesn't matter. Following does get stuck in some locations, eventually planning on creating a hop queue which will trace your leader's path. It also does not use transports/elevators/moves close enough to not get locked out. I think all of those would need to be scripted instance by instance (might be able to dynamically use transports, haven't looked into it.)
Thank you for making this. How smart is the follow? It's just when i started it with the default settings, it attempted to follow, but it got stuck on a wall endlessly walking forward.
it's completely stupid. Which is why I stress in the original post, do not AFK. Even after I get around to adding movement improvements, which will work by creating a trail from your leader's movement and moving how he moved, it will still be stupid. If running into walls is that big of an issue, I can add a kill switch for stucks. You should be watching it closely enough to easily make an excuse if someone comments. There are three movement types btw: mesh (which seriously needs an overhaul for dungeons), none mesh (just coords and forward movement) and /follow (it seriously just uses target and sends the chat /follow)
I'm aware that you should never afk with these sort of things, I was watching it. I was just interested in seeing how smart it would be in a dungeon. Thanks for contributing this to the community regardless.

hmmm...maybe i wasnt using the modified ex combat botbase ...would explain my problems trying to run my whm and pld through book dungeons for a dual box/bot test.
