Ok, I'm getting mixed results from this. Some people have PMed me saying that it switches between DoM/DoW to DoL just fine without any issues.. I am even running a profile that someone did that switches between botany and mining just fine.. teleports to respective zone, runs to node, gathers.. and continues to the next one.. I'm going to remove the treeroot.stop and start from the current upload and re upload it.. or anyone that doesnt want to redownload can edit the Customtags\CustomTag.cs file and just either put // infront of each treeroot.stop and treeroot.start or just delete the line all together. If you are just doing clusters/gathering related profiles.. start the bot as miner/bontanist and you should be good through out the entire profile. If you start as a DoH/DoW/DoM you might get issues when its switching to gathering class.. This very well "could" be a cr issue. I was having the issue with ultima/kupo/(updated)kupper when switching from a combat class to gathering class.. I had a little better luck with RebornCo, which showed me that it was sticking to the class I was originally set at before doing class change.. older Kupper CR i had the best luck with since I used ninja as my melee material gathering class.. I was able to switch between any class, and back to ninja without any issue at all. For the time being, I will leave this as is until I can talk to some more people and figure out exactly if it is a CR issue or an RB issue... I'm not sure how it can be the plugin itself since all it does is sends a message to ffxiv to tell it which gearset to use, then exits the code.. TL;DR : switch to one of the disciple classes you are wanting to use.. for gathering classes just start the bot as miner or botanist, and it should cycle through them just fine.. been doing it myself for the past hour on someones private profile and has been working wonders..
today is 12-05-2014 @ 10:40: i ran the code all of last night and it went great i woke up and it was still running this thread is amazing. need to teach myself how to code so i can help you guys a bit. NOTE1:: i started the bot as WAR i was amazed to see that when i ran into one of those GIGAS and he aggroed me, the WAR kicked his butt. did different moves and everything thats not even anywhere in the script. he just defended himself LOL NOTE2:: i only use the bot for gathering, but after last night with my WAR maybe i can send him to do my expert roulette ?? need to look around forums see if theres a bot for that.
There are CRs out there to do all the dps for you as a majority of the classes without issue. I'm not too sure if there are any decent tanking CRs out there or not, since i havent messed with WAR or PLD since FFXIV 1.0.. But just know that I believe alot of issues people are having with this plugin is due to the CR not seeing the class change (i think, not positive).
Think it would be possible to add support to check if the player is dead? A script I ran gathering just sat there trying to change between miner and botanist instead of reviving xD
I've been using this plugin for a couple weeks now. I've encountered some odd behavior and was hoping someone watching this thread might have some insight. The first strange behavior is the occasional Compiler Errors thrown when switching classes. This doesn't occur every time, and doesn't seem to prevent the class switch or the use of abilities in the new class. The OrderBot routine seems to continue just fine after the switch, but in the hopes of catching a bug I'm posting a log with the compiler errors. The second behavior I've noticed is that certain class changes don't occur for some reason. One execution of the routine will work fine, while the execution of the same class change on the different time around the loop will not. This is primarily noticeable during the 6AM to 8AM time block in the Routine I linked. I have seen Classey switch to Miner and then proceed to mine the Ore, while others I have watched it port to the correct location, not switch classes, and proceed to the gathering HotSpot. Once it arrives, it can't detect the Unspoiled Mining Node, so it moves on in the sequence. I have to stop the bot, switch classes and mine the node manually. The final strange behavior I've seen is the Plugin switching classes back and forth several times after executing just one class change. It seems to alternate back and forth between Miner and Botanist for some reason. Unfortunately I don't have a log for that one, but I'll do my best to find one and upload it. I know this is a late reply, more or less since alot of the gathering profiles now use codechunks to switch classes, and makes this plugin obsolete now.. but in previous posts it was determined to start the bot as a DoW/DoM.. doing so would allow the class changes to register properly. Even Sodimms daily profiles say to start it as DoM/DoW class for the codechunk to work correctly. From the log, I see you were starting originally as a botanist, which could be causing alot of the errors you were seeing. Also noticed that you had alot of compile errors showing for Kupo. But since your post was over 20 days ago from this one.. Even though this plugin does the exact same thing as the codechunks used in profiles today.. I would recommend just not using this plugin at all anymore.. I still use it for my personal profiles that I do, and it works great when I start as a DoW class.. but If you create your own profiles, I would recommend looking at Sodimm's Daily profiles and creating your profile to use codechunks like he does.. They are both doing the exact same thing.. one is just a plugin, and one is compiled on the fly by orderbot.. But either way, it has been determined to start the bot as a DoW/DoM when running profiles in order for classes to change correctly. At first, Kupo was the preferred routine to use for this, but as of now kaihaider has default routine classes added for DoL/DoH in rebornco, which has been working just fine for me.
