was wondering,with the advent of the critter kill achieve,is it possible to just stand there and drop searing (the ae fire totem) all the time?

 

Thanks xergz. In general, ShamWOW won't support casting totems when Out of Combat presently, but it will attack and kill whatever you setup in your profile. Your character will follow whatever profile you load, so you have a couple choices to achieve the Critter killing behavior you described:

1. Create your own Grinding profile. If you want to stand in one spot, add only one Hotspot with the coordinates of the location you want to stand in, most likely the Critter spawn point if there is one. To target Critters, just add their Faction ID to the Factions list which is used for targeting attackable mobs.
- OR -
2. Add the Critters faction id to the Factions list in a Grind profile you are going to run anyway. That way you'll be grinding in general and also killing Critters. That faction id is intentionally omitted from just about every profile because of there typically being no reason (loot, xp, rep, etc.) to grind them.

As for which totems are used, ShamWOW allows you control what totems are cast in the CC Configuration window and/or the Config file. The default is Auto for all totem slots, meaning ShamWOW dynamically assesses the combat scenario and picks the appropriate totem. For the Fire Totem this means if you have multiple mobs within 10yds it will cast Magma Totem, otherwise it will cast Searing Totem. Magma Totem is the AoE totem I think you were referring to.

EDIT: See [Guild Achievment] Critter Kill Squad / Crittergegeddon [CLICK HERE] for details on the achievement and what is required. Based on the description, HB ignores critters by default. Once you determine the AoE macro that works best with that setup for Shaman be sure to post your results.

Does bot cast when it hits 5 stacks of Maelstrom?

 

Yes. If Maelstrom Weapon is at 5 stacks, will cast Lightning Bolt for single target, Chain Lightning for multiple. General question or an issue? If you have an Enhancement Shaman that doesn't appear to be casting at 5 stacks, please be sure to attach a complete debug log file so I can look into it for you.

It's been a while since I botted my shammy, but now I'm looking forward to it again, because of the awesome CC

One question: I suppose that ShamWoW works with HB 3.558, but I just want to make sure?
It does not state so in the first post, so you might want to correct that.

 

Question, is it possible to say have 4 shamans (3dps, 1 healer) in my group while I tank manually in instances (random dungeon) with this, so the 3 dps shamans dps and the 1 healer heals? I'm thinking about buying GB lifetime for this reason.

 

i dont know if anyone else is having this problem but the shaman go through mana really really fast in a 5 man run after every pull

 

im having some issues with it in instancebuddy since updating today (lastest ib and hb) its spamming earth shield then watershield on himself rarther than the tank. is this an ib issue?

 

anyone else experciencing crashes whenn using IB with shamwow as healer?
mostly at the end of the dungeons it crashes for me while the dps char(shaman too) doesn't crash.

Bobby. I am also experiencing mana issues while playing as resto. Could you possibly post what spec you are using and maybe how you are gemming/reforging

 

dshiizznitt, Sorry to hear that. You are the second to mention mana today. I will be happy to post recommended talent builds and stat choices for leveling and end game use, but given that there are now fewer options than pre-Cata I don't think that alone would resolve them. I am focused on some other items at the moment, but will put that together and post soon. For now, it would help me a great deal to get log files from anyone saying they are running low on Mana so I can do the detailed analysis required to determine the source of the issues and resolve going forward.
