It is more reliable than the bs others have posted in here. If you want to argue and have a long discussion feel free to PM me and we can talk it out, just not in this thread.
I farm Gundrak nearly everyday 24/7 on my only account (not counting the days when I AFK and HB crashes) using a Death Knight, and I obtain about 25k+ per day I farm. Equaling a little over 1k gold an hour. That doesn't include the gold I get from selling the Crystalized Water and Frostweave Cloth in the AH. I have been doing this for quite some time now. I have yet receive any notifications or warnings from Blizzard concerning my unusual play times. As a user of HB, I expect to receive a ban one day, because I know the risk of botting in general. If you aren't comfortable with the risk, then you probably shouldn't bot in general. But if you have leniency, back-up plans, or an overall Grade-A never get caught plan, then the more power to you. Bot it up! Good luck friends!
Some people run gathering for months and dont get banned, some run dungeonbot for half an hour and get banned, i believe in the most part getting banned is down to player reports. also if your flooding the auction house everyday then your asking for trouble also. i dont believe blizz actively go out of their way to look for bots they just go off player reports. i believe activity where there are less "players" carries less of a risk than activity that does. However if you go to gundrak or grim batol or botanica you can see the guys leving and entering instances and vendoring use the EXACT same path, which looks so obvious. so i like to believe this form of botting is safer than others, in reality it probably isnt.
I've been running dungeon bots in mop heroics every night for a couple months now. I'm extremely surprised the accounts haven't been banned yet. I expect to see them banned every morning when I wake up, but it hasn't happened yet. The simple fact is if you are going to bot, expect to lose the account. It may not be tomorrow, or even a month later, but you will eventually be banned. The more you bot, and the more visible you are, the faster you generally will get banned. There is no magic answer to the question you're asking other than you will eventually be banned. So I guess you could say the ban rate is 100%, but even then there's no magic number as to when that ban will come.
Alright, I never looked at it from such an angle. I guess I'll just try and look if my account is still there when I wake up
ive been botting for 4 years on my main toon and all 30 of my 100s I believe I have not been banned once, I do not use IP masks, vpns or dedicated servers/proxy so it depends on you but i usually am online while im running my bots (5 at a time) I chat in trade/general while my bot is doing shit I chat in raid parties and dungeon parties while my bots active in one using dungeon buddy... but thats me
IF my botting account gets banned, will my main account get banned aswell? they are on the same ip, but different account
If you're banned for botting, it should be OK. If you're banned for abuse of the economy, anything could happen.
should my main be okay even though i trade the gold from my botting acc to my main? ( i dont sell the gold i just use it for personal use)
Should be fine. Probably better to put the gold in a gb and then take it out on the main account. Large trades could get flagged and then both accounts banned. Please remember, no one knows how Blizz really bans people, if you're doing something you shouldn't be, then there's always a chance.
My bot account runs HOL 12/16 hrs per day 3/4 days a week, pulling 1.2k/h. Been doing it for about 6 months now with no problems
